I was trying to say you got unlucky as CPUs usually are not what breaks unless you use them outside of their specifications (which you will not have done)

I'm probably doing something wrong though. Previous desktop broke down like this after 4-5 years (and there had been issues before with it being very noisy) and with the current one it happened a little over 2 years in.

The lifetime ban was probably the result of it having been his 3rd ban. Theory is that a user called Hamlin is responsible for the bans of both Grant and tof. He randomy dropped by one day and involved the Grant and tof in a conversation about George Floyd, baiting them relentlessly. Much to the misfortune of the two beloved former forumites, it was during the early afternoon during the US hard court season, so everyone else was asleep and unable to rescue them from Heinous Hamlin. A few hours later, both of them had been banned.

Not sure how often you randomly and frantically check random other user's profiles to see if they had been banned to then gloat about it....unless you eagerly await a ban. I also went onto the cricket forum under Grants order and claimed credit for Grant's ban, to which Hamlin acted strangely egged on and seemingly disgruntled that someone tried to take his credit away from him.

the only way he's getting back on here is probably if he closes his account, changes his address and maybe bank card and try again, but you'd have to be deranged. There must also be a specific way people are getting people banned, on the football forum you can call someone a n0nce and survive a ban, I assume the report function is useless and automated and he went crawling to betfair via Email with said quotes instead and TSE Global took action. I went to check what year he joined to see if he joined long ago to have made a second account he might have forgotten about, and when you post his name in the search box the user 'detraveller' comes up, what's that about, pretty sure they're different.

Cooper I watched the Eubank/Benn presser. I think Eubank talks a good game and was pushing Benn's buttons with ease. lots of hype around this fight but I'm not really sure how good a fight it will turn out being. you got a feeling on who you think will win it yet?
