You are probably just as well served with a pin but after two rounds I have rowed in with Sabalenka again. Two three-setters and probably not great wins but the serve appears to be working a little better and the week off should have helped. It would be disappointing to lose to any of three players who stand between her and the semi-final.
One or two potential stretcher cases appear to have made the next round to further muddy the waters. Might be a case of last woman standing. |

lots of drama here for me. Didn't pay attention to this match until odds started to go crazy, backed Sousa at 1.6 with void bookie when he was 1.3 here. Didn't lay off instantly, wanted to see Posp's status here. Waited a few games, he didn't seem to be in too bad shape so I layed most of my Sousa bet Sousa at 1.2ish because it looked unlikely that Posp was gonna retire. As Sousa was serving for set 2 I noticed he was still at 1.25 which I though was high for someone serving for the match. Then it hit me Posp had won the 1set and Sousa was only about to secure a deciding set. Layed off the rest of the bet at 1.30ish, still shockingly low odds for 1 set all and had to sweat a Posp retirement for another full set. Worked out alright in the end :)
