Hard to believe that Kontaveit would be handed another victory. She was flattered to reach the final. I suspect normal service will be resumed. Huge gulf.
There are three players right now - Williams, Osaka and Sabalenka. I don't understand what happened in Quebec - on all surrounding evidence it should have been a stroll - but Sabalenka could be the top of the lot. One things for sure she has almost single handedly turned around my tennis betting this year. She would be a massive threat in Singapore but winning back to back is probably too much to expect even from her. |
