I was going to say that, it was more Halep bottling it then getting out of jail than Kerber bottling it who was finished physically.

yeah she beat JJ as well, four in in one tournament, nowadays given how many have had that title recently, will be a more common occurrence.

In future years it will defo come more common as you've got a lot of players who have been #1 now. Atm you need the draw to align to play them all.

Halep got out of it, but she dug the hole in the first place. She never should have been in the position of Kerber serving for the match 2 points up, Halep had been the better player nearly the entire match.
