Gangzhou so fecking boring... Petersson 6-0. Krunic 6-0. Cabrera 6-0. Kozlova 6-0 3-0. Zhang 6-0 2-0... Where do they get their players? Are people supposed to pay for that ****?

That's not nec a bad thing, depends what side you are on, it's not like all those players were 1.01 shots doing that. For starters Cabrera was like 9s.

The only one of those that was even short to win was Zhang.

Apparently South Koreans are calling Osty Osta and this in Korean means "attack".

that has to be new, two players facing each other after delivering a double bagel in previous round.

I would have thought that it's the Americans that are bagel lovers, but apparently the habits have shifted

I think if you lose to a plyer that gets double bageled in the next round, like Stosur did to Han, you should be deducted 100 ranking points.

How does this make any sense btw?

So Wuhan begins on Sunday with a Saturday final. This is notoriously the toughest turnaround in the entire calendar for those in Seoul and Tokyo, most finalists lose next week (those that don't have a bye in R1 which is top 8 only). Guangzhou is the only one of these events which smartly has a Saturday final before Wuhan despite being you know the one already in China (though I know China is huge and no idea how close it actually is to Wuhan).

Probably win Grant, but I wouldn't back it, I don't know really on Peng's fitness either, she norm wins or goes very deep in these style of events though.

Didn't Tokyo semifinalists use to get a R1 bye in the upcoming tournament? Was that when Tokyo/Beijing was back-to-back?
By:
n88uk
When: 20 Sep 17 11:21
That's when Tokyo was P5, Wuhan SF'ists now get that for Beijing.
By:
n88uk
When: 20 Sep 17 11:22
It might not be so bad for Osty, I think Venus is out of Wuhan now, and Svitolina never entered it, so unless Svitolina took a late WC I have missed (which is possible as info isn't as free flowing about these tournaments) Ostapenko will be #8 seed.

Does that article reveal how much it costs? That's a key point to me, if it's outrageous it's a bit of a pointless test if most events couldn't even come close to affording it on every court.
