I heard Potty on the radio saying that Nadal would probably beat him because he didn't have much strength left in his legs, or something to that effect. He even went as far as to say that Nadal, being left-handed, could make it very difficult for him by easily finding his backhand. It seems strange for a top player not only saying that his opponent is likely to beat him, but also predicting how he would do it.

Tbf he was saying similar stuff towards Federer match.

And his backhand has held up very well, it's since Nadal stopped hitting every shot to it that he's taken control.

What price is Nadal likely to be against Anderson? Should be a safe bank-job on Nadal by the looks of things.

So, maybe he wanted to try to encourage Nadal to go for the backhand, and Nadal has sussed it out and stoped doing it? Grin

Best Slam of 2017!

I think Nadal was way overplaying it at the beginning. He was hitting like 95% shots to the backhand at the beginning. Too predictable if you absolutely know it's going there, and there's no threat of the down the line, you can just park yourself in the backhand corner and tee off then.

not only that, it's also a stand off in the wta Maiden slam thread as well, only you chose Sloane 3 and half years ago, only me and someone else chose keys, Beaniash I think.

I'm also goating in the US Open comp on 14 points, a 64 46 63 win for Keys will be perfect.

just because he's expected to win. Del Potro tough but don't think he's got enough in the tank to beat Rafa over best of 5.
