Does that happen often with players in certain competitions where you need to play 2 matches same day, just really started watching tennis more than usual in the last few weeks.

It's been easy at this stage of the match in like all of their encounters for Pliskova vs Wozniacki this year. But she only won 50% of them.

Yeah thought that was pretty unfair for Pliskova, probably why she wasn't the the fav from the off here.
By:
Pliskova's problem vs Woz is always keeping up the intensity. She would be 4-0 vs her this year if she could do that. But losing intensity vs Woz is a recipe for disaster.

That background music has fcuked up Pliskova serve

in very rare cases, a player will play 2,5 or 3 matches in a day.

is this where sloane comes unstuck?

Kaplis may not mug alot around today because :
a) she already mugged a set earlier b) she wants revenge from last week and nothing can stop her. |
By:
Pliskova looks to be better here with her footwork, sometimes when you watch her its like she can't be bothered moving for returns, as she knows she got a solid serve to fall back on, but she's putting in more of an effort here for a change.
By:
If she keeps focus on serve, that break should be enough. Woz has not come near her serve since early days.
By:
glad I went out otherwise I would have backed woz
By:
I think b) is a big factor but for revenge per se. I think Pliskova knows she lost last week because she allowed herself to lose intensity in important moments of the match. She was up 5-1 in the 1st, lost 6 games in a row, 4-2 in 3rd, lost it 6-4.
That was actually problem for Pliskova in both her losses to Woz, she lost big leads in sets to lose sets and ultimately matches she never she shouldn't have lost. She fell into the Woz trap. |
By:
She led 4-0 1st set last week, and lost the set. She learnt her lesson.

starting prices in this were really strange, some nice free wonger tho
By:
The starting prices were clearly to do with Pliskova playing 2 hours ago. It was hard to call because of that.
By:
lol woz nerly hit the umpire with her serve
By:
Otherwise Pliskova would have been like 1.7.
By:
what were the odds last week
By:
Around 1.7.
By:
No reason for them to change much, she lost, shouldn't have really. Also this surface is a little better for her, it's a little faster this week due to conditions.
By:
3 matches / day ? This coild probably only happen if they played masters outdors.
By:
Nah I would say last weeks result would have to play some part
By:
She was over 1.5 confirmed break first set. Not often you see Nr1 that high with such lead.
By:
Proper way to serve it out.

Well done Pliskova recovered my losses on Sloane Svitlova double

All the breaks julia saved earlier vs Svito, now she gives them for free to sloane.

Players were down to play 3 matches a day in Eastbourne, but didn't, because they lost before their 3rd match. Really ? Didnt know that was possible. |
By:
It is, but shouldn't be.
By:
Tank the set now julia, so you can serve first at least.
