Konta's draw up to the SF looked very easy when I had a quick look last night

What half is Wozniacki in?

I think she would face Konta in SF

And the fix allegations keep rolling in. So many people on the bandwagon seemingly.

can see there being ridiculous expectations on Konta for Wimbledon if she has a decent grass season, now that she's the first brit to make top 20 in 30 years or so

The TIU investigates every match, don't they?

There's absolutely no way it was fixed. No way. Hopefully she doesn't read that nonsense because it wouldn't be doing her any favours.
By:
edy
When: 06 Jun 16 15:28
maybe she'd stop tanking
By:
SabineIsGOAT
When: 06 Jun 16 15:29

On a serious note, winningthought. Not too long ago she beat Pride of Britain, Naomi Broady, easily in straight sets and then she goes on to win 1 game against Strycova and 2 games against Mertens? Puh-lease.

thing is though Tennis players don't legally have to try surely? If she isn't get bungs to chuck the match she can do whatever the fook she wants. It's the bookies problem if they want to keep offering low odds on her.

The rules say you have to try to the best of your abilities
By:

same with Paire and Gulbis. Very unlikely they fix. They are just young and rich and can't be arsed.

I don't think she is tanking at all. Don't think everything is well at all for her. I don't know who her team is, but I wouldn't let them near any young tennis talent.

Remember it will edy. Our Sharapova had a bit of a cold that day.

Kyrgios was pure clowning around at 1 point at Wimbledon last year, and still didn't get a warning for not trying from the umpire.
By:
SabineIsGOAT
When: 06 Jun 16 15:34
I thought he did get a warning for lack of effort against Gasquet?
By:
edy
When: 06 Jun 16 15:34
The only lack of effort warning I remember was given to poor Davydenko in the aftermath of the Sopot investigation and his brain being scrambled
By:
Mike-lfc

so whats the difference between not trying and retiring?

think Dan Evans got a lack of effort warning during wimbledon q's last year and still ended up winning the match

By:

When: 06 Jun 16 15:36
Not giving full effort against opponents that are unworthy of his presence doesn't sound like Dan
By:
SabineIsGOAT
When: 06 Jun 16 15:36
pretty insulting for your opponent for the umpire to think you aren't even trying when beating them
