Angie has a small chance. It depends on Serena finally getting tested and crumbling under the pressure imo. She hasn't really been tested all tournament. We've seen the Serena look dominant then crumble story many times, but she was never really under huge pressure all tournament.
It's probably more likely Serena just front runs against Angie though, Angie's serve too weak probably. |

It's coming a point you basically can't win anything without removing Djokovic anyway mafeking.
Djokovic has made the final of every event he's entered for over a year now. So he's the gatekeeper to everything. |

1/4 is the best price with the books (2/9 and 1/7 at vermins)
but you're right, could get a bit better backing them individually on here. 1.17 looks pretty huge to me. It's not Azarenka she's playing. |
|
By:
2/9 x 1/7 is not 1/4. 2/9 is virtually 1/4 itself.
|
|
By:
1.17 is hardly a big price though. She was bigger vs Sharapova and Radwanska who had less chance.
|
|

Ahh, the 1.30 v Shara happy days

Angie isn't as much damaged goods as those two are, and has more game to actually hurt Serena than Radwanska does. She can be incredibly annoying to Serena if she gets everything back and redirects everything.
The downside and fear is that like Radwanska her serve will just be demolished. |
|

yep djokovic is the immoveable object but he's probably gonna end up winning more GS matches in the open era than anyone but federer, nadal, djokovic, connors, sampras, agassi and lendl all absolute legends of the sport but very few slams
you'd have to think playing at any other time he'd have won at least 6 |

I never know the final factor in pricing these things up anyway. Serena had been 1.0x vs Radwanska in the past. Market here went 1.2, and I don't know why. There was no signs Serena was ever in major trouble in this match up, Radwanska's "form" on paper looks good, but looked pretty questionable coming into this in reality.
But most importantly of all, it's just a horrendous, horrendous match up for Radwanska. If there is 1 way you don't want to play against Serena, it's to have no real offensive weapons, and hit a lot of puffy shots, and have a weak serve. It is just about if you were going to design the worst top player imaginable to take on Serena how you would design it. |

i haven't watched hardly any of the aus open as it's on in the middle of the night. thought i'd try my luck on murray raonic match and messed up badly.

The Serena vs Radwanska H2H is so 1 sided. Radwanska has won 1 set in 19 now. A lot of heavy beatdowns in there. The 1 set was Serena choking from like 6-1, 5-2 or 5-3 up when she hadn't won a grand slam for ages, after being out for a year.
Probably a match that sits vividly with me though is when they played in Canada in 2013. Serena was so bad in this match, and she still won in straight sets. |
|
By:
And I probably don't need to go into Serena vs Sharapova in too much detail to wonder why the market always sits around 1.25 without fail.

btw, 2/9 doubled with 1/7 is definitely 1/4
only a smidgen better than 2/9 but it all adds up. Not that I'll be doing it, tho. I'm happy enough with my Joker bet and will top up if he goes behind in the 1st set. |
|
By:
It most definitely isn't. It's 1.39 which is more like 2/5.
|
|
By:
Oops, you're spot on. I didn't add the 1 back on (after diving 2 by 9) before dividing by 7
