Isn't there that new Q rules this year on WTA tour (not sure about ATP). Which should reduce the potential for tanks in final round of Q when already in MD.

thought you were the rules expert

Yes I am pretty sure that rule is coming in. Not 100% on how new rule works. Think it might put top 2 seeds together and be random from them.

Barney probably wouldn't cover that imaginary bet now of both players winning 2 or more sets.

Yes it was always going to be a mess.

There's an even worse problem too which makes this worse. When I scroll between Australian markets, so say have match 1 open, then try and open up match 2, it doesn't work. So you have to open a new window for every match.

By:
n88uk
When: 02 Jan 16 21:27
Or to go to the next match you have to just go back to the new Betfair site, and load up the next market that way.

Either way incredibly annoying. Going to need like 10 tabs open R1 of Australian Open.

Lucky Losers
Lucky Losers are players who have lost in the final Qualifying
round or, if more Lucky Losers are required, those players who
have lost in the previous Qualifying round(s). Lucky Losers
shall be selected based on the WTA singles computer
Rankings from the week prior to the start of the Tournament
(Special Rankings are not considered). If there are no Main
Draw vacancies before the Qualifying has been completed,
then the order of the Lucky Losers shall be determined by their
rankings in descending order. If there is one vacancy in the
Main Draw before Qualifying is completed, then the order of
the two (2) highest ranked Lucky Losers shall be randomly
drawn, and thereafter the order shall follow the Lucky Losers’
rankings, unless there are two (2) or more withdrawals at the
time Qualifying is completed in which case the size of the random
draw will be the number of withdrawals plus one (1). In
the case where Lucky Losers from previous Qualifying
round(s) are included in the draw, they will be placed behind all
Lucky Losers who have lost in the final round of Qualifying.

it's pretty amazing, given the api traffic, and their desire to get the mug money to the sportsbook, that they bothered with the new site.

especially given how unfit for purpose it is.

I take it you have the same problem I explain, and it's not just me.

Eg. try opening the women's AO outright, then go straight to the men's. For me this doesn't work. It redirects to some apparent "Barclays Premier League" market according to the taskbar, but never loads anything. Same for trying to move between matches.

With no coupon to quickly get to matches, it's pretty annoying.

more amazing how you can design such an awful, slow, clunky site to begin with.

Yet more amazing that they Aussie markets haven't been implemented after who knows how many years it's been now.

i'm busy f*cking around with my API code to make an AUS coupon tbh n88.

it's just all a big mess on the main site.
By:

the new site is an abomination.

it's actually quicker on the old aus site (navigational issues aside) in spite of the 400~800 msec round trip delay on hitting the servers in tasmania.

absolutely shameful.
By:
DStyle
When: 02 Jan 16 21:43
and it remains quicker to scrape the aus website than access it through the api (get/post overheads)
By:
aaronh
When: 02 Jan 16 21:44
why do they need to separate the Aus markets anyway?
