different class from Murray here - unlike Federer who starts crying after he didn't win despite already having won so many. He is disgusted by Djoko's antics during this match & rightly so but he is keeping it to himself for now.
By:
Very strange speech. I'd much rather he come out all guns blazing, TBH. This is just totally in keeping with how he went out with a whimper.
By:
Can't believe he didn't thank Greg for being on Eurosport :)

Andy sounded like a dalek.

you know what, we are more than happy to claim him as a scottish loser. never thought i would ever see a scottish tennis player in a main draw for a slam let alone a finalist.
he's f***ing great imo |

Muzza is gonna lamp him in the locker room

don't think djoko will be the best man at the wedding somehow
By:
He clearly did on court. Why not highlight it off the court and get people talking about it? He might be less reluctant to try it in the future.

Kim seems strangely cockahoop. Because Muzz is happy?

Missed the match, someone explain Djoko's antics here. To me it seems Muzza just out of his depth and being negative, typical
By:
rewind to the last AO final between the two, and give murray a set this time.
By:
and an added bonus - we won't have to listen to the BBC creaming themselves if murray had won.
Its a win / win |
By:
the 2nd set of that match was about as good as it getsbut murray has to worry about the mental fortitude tho. he did it in 2012 NYC but didn't have it today

The trouble with British people in general, is that they have no killer instinct, 1-1 set all 2-0 up 3rd set and instead of going for the throat, he sits back and allows Djoko to start dictating again, its not just Andy Murray, its all sports, Football, Cricket, Rugby League/Union, we have our good hours in all of those, but from the moment we won the 66 World Cup, from the moment we smashed the Aussies away in Australia, we somehow take our foot of the gas and just say, we have nothing else to achieve, instead of going on and completely dominating for several years and winning them again
By:
a wee bit of perspective required here i think.
i would say the problem with british people is sweeping generalisations. that and english people! |
By:
Sadly for Murray, he is not able to keep producing top level tennis after 3 hours.
The big boys just keep cranking up the gears to eventually get the job done - no matter how long it takes. |

Stephen Hendry was the only Scot who did anything for a sustained period.
