yes, and you had good instincts on that. Now all of Europe can go celebrate their own awesomeness as usual.

I found it a huge anti climax, because it was one of the only songs I didn't enjoy

edy you're in the clouds, nobody unless they were dropped on there head a s a baby actually enjoys this, people only watch it to humour themselves, I've had a good laugh at Europe.

yes but is this about the best act/performance/vocal or have things moved away from the days of abba and bucks fizz? It's a glorified talent competition after all.

I am with ya there Mes, all the songs in this competition are sh!te and always have been...It is indeed only for humour value that I watch

I'm saying the vote was influenced because most of europe, or rather the voters, wanted to be all tolerant and then celebrate themselves being super cool. Nothing to do with you, or me, or whomever taking it seriously as a competition.

People love to feel cool about themselves.

and what's wrong with one tiny TV Eurovision Party in Germany? You seriously think you wouldn't find a thousand or so people in the UK if the BBC were to do that in one of your million+ people cities?

The one in Germany has other popular music acts singing live before and after as well.

So it was a sympathy vote? we're with you sister! or brother?

It has the potential to be a serious competition, but freak shows and dopey mugs like those french clowns and all the block voting nonsense means it will always be a laughing stock, also, they should all sing int their own languages imo, not really European for everyone almost, to sing in English.

aaron, we are English, we don't need to learn a foreign language as everyone's second language is English, it's also relatively easy to speak for them so us learning their lingo really is a waste of time.

That's correct, I want to see a proper competition for proper singers on the continent, not this karaoke carry on.

No real thanks to you guys though. Most people around the world (though it's far from everyone's 2nd language) learn the language because of their exposure to the improved, american version of the language.

C'mon, your 'ou' combination in words like humour is completely unnecessary and weird. Also stuff like 'theatre' is vastly improved if it's 'theater'. Too bad the americans weren't smart enough to combine 'there', 'their' and 'they're' into a single word.

Rarely any of you native english speakers seem to know the difference. Right Mes?
