This is a total furore over nothing on twitter. The fans are here to see Murray vs Tsonga ffs, course that match takes precedence.

By:
we must be the only country that has rain during our tennis events

centre court ticket holders can still go watch Hewitt-Cilic if they want to, don't they? There won't be that much capacity needed with Murray-Tsonga on at the same time.
By:
Could have had Hewitt-Cilic finished by now.

Which other venues in Europe have a roof apart from Wimbledon iyo ? |

a 3 tournament tour sounds good

Birmingham are messing about so much. Spend 10 minutes whilst it's not raining wondering whether it's going to rain or not, instead of playing.
By:
ffs, not the covers again

It's raining at Queens again I think too. They should just give the titles to Vekic and Murray and move on to next week.
By:
we should ban America and France from having tournaments too, after all these mug tourneys have had Monday finals recently
![]() |
By:
Let's just make playing tennis illegal in all countries of the world.
By:
Not sure why the players play at Queens anyway. They pay more tax, theres a much easier and less interrupted tournament in Germany and there are other tournaments again next week.

smb if you were today at birmingham now u would have a great history to forum

Most annoying at Wimbledon is when it's raining, they take 45 minutes to decide to shut the roof, then it takes 45 minutes for the roof to shut and the conditions to be playable.
By:
It's one thing to have a solid day of rain; shut it down, no harm, no foul. It's the endless waiting, umbrellas up-and-down, and covers on-and-off, players warming up and stopping that is so frustrating.
By:
that's definitely true, think they'd learn from their mistakes

maybe just ban outdoor tennis unless it's played to a none-paying audience

I'm watching the stream and not seeing any rain. Start the damn match already

What I don't like is that the media try to shove Andy Murray at us here there and everywhere, which makes us like him even less than we probably would otherwise.
By:
Us? You!

In terms of planning though Wimbledon are one of the biggest donkeys in tennis. Wimbledon are so behind in their way of thinking. They always react to rain very late, even though it's normally obvious it's coming. Stupid Sunday of no play etc. (something I absolutely hate).

You're not British edy, you wouldnt know what the overkill is like.

By:
no i can't stand the bbc, sky and es fawning over murray either

Let's just make playing tennis illegal in all countries of the world.
![]() seems a little extreme, but ultimately fair |

theyre probably considering it in Russia.

Wimbledon is a tournament run by toffs, who got where they are because of privilege not brains.
By:
Why would someone like a player less just because some unrelated media covers him a lot? Mainland europe doesn't dislike Radwanska either despite Eurosport showing her at every opportunity.
By:
In fact, that as a general statement is the reason British tennis is not that successful.
By:
i don't dislike murray because of it, only the w4nkers on those channels. i'm not british
By:
There are people who do not react nicely to being told they must like something.

Ah yeah, hipsters

Lisicki complaining has even made Sky Sports News lol. Is it really that news worthy? Sounds a non-event to me.
