So should a player under those circumstances be heavily criticised for not being too focused and maybe even unmotivated?

In the end, after suffering through all that, she did decide to end her year prematurely. Maybe it took too long, maybe not. I don't know. You always try to go on, don't you? Especially if your family tells you to keep fighting. Doesn't mean your motivation, focus and level can remain at their absolute prime even if you're trying as hard as you can under those circumstances.

Jarka just isn't that good.

playing crap =/= not trying

if we could all play our best every week then everybody would be in the top 10
backing players outside the top 4 really, then you can expect swings in performance

and because they perhaps didn't put 100% in, it's okay to wish someone broke their legs or was dead or something. yeah great isn't it Crazy

but im starting to notice its hardly a coincidence that all the attacks is usually coming from the Balkan region Laugh We obviously have a lot of monkeys still living here.

Sure i also get a bit frustrated if i end up losing a bet that i was really sure it should have won, everyone does get upset, but i would never go as low for myself to publicly post such crap on facebook...for once because everyone can see who the jerk is, and for the second reason is that it is not the players fault that i lost my money on him. He plays for himself to win and not for the gamblers.

But if you are not happy with your own life you blame everyone for it of course.

ShockedThat's not like you aaron

I can't say I understand depression, but the fact a lot of people around the world kill themselves on a daily basis because of it, is enough to know it's a serious illness.

As for cyber-bullying, no sportsman/women should be using the likes of twitter and faceache, the internet in general can be a playground for the lonely and insane so you're always gonner read more bad stuff about you than good as the people posting crap have a lot of time on their hands and abusing well known people is a buzz for them, something to pass the time, as soon as they've posted they've probably forgotten about it and moved on. But people in particular women, take it to heart like Rebecca Adlington for eg;, just stay off it imo. I don't know why they don't just think to themselves "I'm rich, successful and going places, you're probably in a dark room on the dole wasting your life waiting for replies from famous people like me", although like I say, just stay off it.

But banter is different and you have to differentiate between the two. Personally there is nothing wrong with banter and I only have banter on anonymous message boards like this - with people who I know who can not only take it, but will give it back, if I thought someone was too sensitive and easily offended I would't bother. Cos that would be bullying.

She should come back whilst she can imvhaho.

On a somewhat related note: I made my very own nut butter recently. That means I'm finally independent from the evil, imperialistic food industry that tries to poison us all and make us sick with their masses of sugar, additives and hydrogenated fats, baby!! Cool

Those earthdance hippies would be so very proud of me.

Are you taking the piss? I didn't want anybody to be interested in that when I said it. Plain

Anyway, as a first try I used almonds with a bit of sunflower oil Happy It's piss easy to do, has no transfats, no evil added sugars, no undeclared horse meat either as you already know.

Next I'm gonna do cashews or walnuts Cool Or if I'm in rebel mood.....maybe a mix Surprised

In a culinary sense an almond is a nut too! Angry We're talking about food so the culinary definition is the one that really counts, isn't it?

Still, thank you for always driving me to educate myself. I even still remember the Virgin Mary sightings in Lourdes you sneakily taught me about through a joke the other week Love

excuses excuses. never thought i could educate you on such simple subject matter Silly  pretty cool though, you making this yourself. i am actually interested Happy  the unwholy supermarkets around here, due to demand of wholesome products or anything that justifies a "bio" label (blame people from san fransisco i suppose) are now selling organic peanutbutter. still loads of things in there that don't belong there but at least without the binders and not being ground down to babyfood, the "nut" separates from the oil in it and everything and you have to stir it before you eat like i remember from early childhood. pretty darn tasty, haven't eaten this much peanutbutter in ages

by blame i mean thank, for the first time in forever you can now get tomatoes in local supermarkt that actually resemble tomatoes for instance
road to poorhouse bying veggies but progress is progress
i can cook up a mean tomato soup btw if i say so myself, Italians would be proud, shame you can't taste trough internet

Entirely disagree. If you bet on someone who doesnt seem bothered to put in any effort, or gives up on the match, or cheats, or does something that could be counted as unprofessional, why should you not tell them what you think? Why should they, as a professional athlete be allowed to escape the fact that what they do on the court does not just influence themselves, that it does affect people who gamble, it does spoil the match for the crowd that has paid to see it. If these players want to avoid criticism, go out there on the court each and every match and play as if you want to win. Do that, which is what is expected from a professional athlete, and you won't get nasty comments on social media sites. If you aren't prepared to act as a professional sportsperson, then don't use social media sites because you are guaranteed to get comments that are not nice.

this is one of the most disgraceful posts i have ever read on here.

the irony is that it comes from a pompous fool who constantly threatens to report people for cyber bullying if they bring up the iranian shirtless men incident.

what sort of crazy deluded world does this idiot live in to believe that sportsmen should put in an unwavering amount of effort so that gamblers' lives are made easier? variable effort and intensity are attributes of a player in the same way their forehand and serve are. you cannot ignore them and then claim it's the player's fault when you did.

but worse still, so much more worse, is what sort of wicked, vindicative coward believes that intimidating harassment on social media sites is an appropriate and condonable response to their own misjudgement?

passing off such vile nonsense under the pathetic construct of a justified argument is reprehensible in the extreme.

I can't stand twitter, but those tweets at the bottom detailing how it all went down are hilarious.

and smb, I'd be careful about saying rude things about Wozniacki, such as 9 year old girl hitting more winners in 3 minutes than Woz in her whole career, from now on:
