she simply never got to touch a towel
By:
sadly, you might be right edy, another example here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqrZYLuc24c
i still think they're the real victims in this whole thing. |
By:
See that at 1:00 in the video I posted? Djokovic really puts the towel down all by himself!
By:
i knew djokovic will be involved in this
By:
what a lecherous old man.
By:
and a similar pattern at 0.27 in my video edy. does llodra let ball girl use the towel? oh no.
By:
So I guess we can agree that tennis players make sure to keep ball girls from touching any of their towels towels because they plan on hitting on them, literally.
By:
fecker teasing with addict ffs
By:
and don't want to harm them.
No such reservations for ball boys |
By:
wow we hit another even deeper case.ballboy trafficking .shocking
By:
that seems to be the case, edy. ball girls = no PET so guys can hit on them. ball boys = PET, which leads to performance enhancement (AO ball kid), but can also lead to overdoses such as Troicki ball kid and fainting ball kid.
By:
and all because carla run out of challenges lol
By:
well, sometimes you stumble upon these things by chance. I'm glad we did though.
By:
what about linejudges they seems to be always scared but few accidental towell touches and some of them wants more... guy from queens and girl at serenas usopen final topping the list.players seems to react quickly destroing problem in the core

By:
he he he. good enough for me, feel the board got shine back somewhat. was good but sadly must run. good luck, good night! not long before Na Fix, Shutitpova and fore mentioned arbitrage back on stage

By:
yep me toogood luck and nice evening to everybody
By:
I'm sure there's more, but I'm afraid to dig deeper at the moment, as I don't want to lose all my faith in the sport. good discussion though.

I watched the match and the chair umpire was definately Eva Asderaki
By:
I mentioned this in another thread, but felt it should be mentioned here as well:
http://www.juicymagonline.com/life/2012/05/serena-williams-launches-enduracool-towel/#.UG_iYZj6eto This explains both her success and her health struggles. |
By:
yes this definitely incriminating evidence must not be left out. would also like to note that a lot of superheros wear capes which are really just beachtowels basically
By:
and most of them turn to the darkside at some point in their careers too
By:
and omg just thought of it, what about women skirts...

remember when the Louis Armstrong court broke at US Open 2011 between Ferrer and Roddick?
http://cbsnewyork.files.wordpress.com/2011/09/us-open-water-on-court.jpg?w=300 At first glance you'd think that was just an accident, but it was clearly a side effect of them using towels (as well as machines) when drying the courts instead of using covers like they do at Wimbledon for instance, where something like this would never happen. |
By:
Do you guys not think that it is all a bit too coincidental that Serena released that EnduraCool PET not too long after the drug-tester/burglar/thief showed up at her house and forced Serena to lock herself into her panic room?
She must've been in the middle of testing different top-notch design PETs to choose the final product from and could of course not be caught while being on a PET cycle. |
By:
Personally I think it's a bit unnecessary to use PET's for court maintenance, but clearly the USTA don't agree with me. I understand that they want to have the best possible courts, but is it really worth it when it can lead to embarrassing situations like the one above?
By:
fck it goes really much deeper that anticipated |
By:
THERE, did you see? Sharapova put a towel on her legs to keep herself from cramping!!
By:
Caramba, do you think to PET effect could transfer onto the courts and then onto the players after a rain delay?
I think we all remember the Sharapova-Petrova match at the US Open. Sharapova was a complete mess once the (supposed) PET effect from the previous rain delay had worn off around the start of the 2nd set. Then after PETs had been reapplied onto court early in the 3rd set she was all of a sudden refocused, full of energy and playing her absolute best again. |
By:
Or do you reckon Sharapova simply used PETs in the locker room during the delay?
By:
Missed that Edy, but well spotted again.
While googling for more proof on tennis players using PET's, I found this: http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/02116/tennis-towel_2116917i.jpg She won't have a long career if she keeps overdosing like that. |
By:
I thought the PET's they used for the courts were simply for court maintenance, but now that you mention it there might be a correlation. After all it happened twice for Sharapova during the USO. And the market seemed to know exactly what was going on since the odds on Sharapova shortened both times.
By:
That was Kvitova in my pic btw. Not sure how effective the PET's are for her with her asthma issues. Maybe she feels she has to overdose for there to be any effect and thinks it's worth the risks.
By:
She had by far her best ever Australian Open and French Open results this year after apparently heavily increasing the dose of PETs.
Coincidence? |
By:
apparently it leaves the towels not entirely unaffected it selves... http://www.surebeatswork.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/towelie.jpg

wait not sure that site is safe. do not click

so it seems the word about PET's are starting to spread. These pictures were taken just two days ago in Beijing after an Azarenka match.
http://features.rr.com/photo/00nKfGF3yofYZ http://www.tennisdigital.com/photos/4906.aspx This raises a few questions though: Are these guys just fans who have realized the value of a used PET as a collectors item with the intention of putting it up on Ebay? Or are they tennis dads seeing the potential in a PET used by Azarenka with the intention of using the towel on their sons/daughters and/or possibly having the towel analyzed in a lab in hope of creating their own version of the Azarenka PET? Or are they just perverts unaware of the whole PET concept? (The fact they went to watch a Vesnina match supports this theory). Or are they WADA personel in disguise looking for proof in order to put a stop to the whole PET business? |

nofx. there are so many victims in this. |
