Was impressed with Aza beating Stosur, as Stosur actually played well. Not so impressed with Shara struggling against Bartoli.
H2H on this surface much better for Aza, so pretty easy pick for me. |

In all seriousness, Azarenka should win this, i never back against her with her being my favourite player so its an obvious choice for me. Statiscally she has the advantage anyway but sharapova is a massive rival for vika and vika will want to put her out

maria is my fav WTA player by far and made me the most money, i hate vika for throwing away second set against sam and making me a loss. But H2H suggests vika has her number on hard courts so no bet for me will watch how match progresses and cheer for pova. on a side nte, BIG MOMMA free money at 1.06, was expecting 1.04 max

vika won the last 4 h2h on hard 2-0. Both have weak 2nd serve stats. Az 2nd was terrible in last 2 sets against stosur and against tatishvili. I think Az will win first set and there will be a fightback from Maria but Az will hold on for 2-0

The question is can Sharapova win one set. I really dont know.
Nevertheless, I cannot see her win this match. Azarenka is number 1 and she certainly would want to remind Sharapova that there is only room behind her in the rankings. Azarenka is playing very well and she has a strong all round game. Good well positioned first serves, reliable back and forehand, cross court and down the line. UE's also seem to be at an acceptable level. Her current game also proves that you do not have to have the fastest serve or the most powerful forehand to be number 1. Sure, Sharapova is not going to throw in the towel. She will keep this match as close as possible for as long as possible, and she has the game to do so. How high will Azarenka be trading during the match compared to a SP of 1.45 something? Will she reach evens if Sharapova wins the first set. Yes, very likely. Azarenka in 2 sets or a tough 3 setter. But that makes it a tricky betting proposition. |

Sharapova got away with a lot of double faults against Bartoli and Petrova. If she does it again in this match, she will not be so lucky.
