hmm now its very wierd , but why should they buy up odds for a lower price ? someone did not get the scrip guess its the betfair guys :)
By:
5.1 at a set up.....wtf, how utterly risible
By:
1.8 prematch, one set down 1.26.
nothing suspicious here....odds are reflecting the score as usual. |
By:
you gotta see it to believe it
By:
yeah but i don't quite follow
so turs will win the 2nd set obv. and then what? |
By:
Betfair will not void as usual... so they can continue this kind of idiotism
By:
this fix dont make any sense , first they lay tursunov at 1.4 + and then buy back at -1.3 ? wtf is that ?
By:
what is weird is the huge amount of lay money pre match on turs - how can that be?
By:
has przy lost a leg or summat?
By:
possibly it will be 2-1 for Priezsny, now they know Tursunov win and then it will get high again - ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!!
By:
thinking its becuse the betfair ppl think its gona be 2-1 tursunov and thats not making any sense at all , then why did they lay him , to buy him up again when hes even lower then they layed him for
By:
scoreboard must be the wrong way around
By:
So tursunov is currently a set down and 0-0 and his price is 1.13...is that correct?

someone is gonna get legal money on his account ;) |
By:
yes, toffee. this is st petersburg.
By:
gfn - perhaps they expected the price to drift, but the bandwagon punters wont allow it
turs comes back to win, 100 per cent sad f ucking day |
By:
Scoreboard cant be wrong watch the set betting market...
By:
Could be self-matched cash. Not that Betfair is a convenient vehicle for money laundering, of course.
By:
too bad there's no way of knowing who traded what at which price
By:
oh look a DF to start the set
By:
what the hell is going on? seems like the lay of the century.
By:
94% first serves / 80% second serves......you just know he is gonna get broken here.
By:
Turs just too good.

it will seem like lay of the century until he gets broken and then calls the trainer...
By:
don't lay turnusov you will cry to betfair to void the market

Totally predictable, was signposted by the setbetting.

Too bad we can't bump the Tursunov-Pashanski thread from 2007 (also in Russia, possibly St Petersburg). Wasn't it very similar? That time Betfair's explanation was that there was one crazy Russian backing Tursunov at low odds.

I've got an acca on another site and this is the last leg, was thinking of laying off to lock in profit, and at 1.08, one set down, looks good to me!
By:
hope they get their fingers burnt bigtime
By:
bacon, that doesn't make sense. the amount matched on set-betting is nothing compared to what was matched on match-betting. someone might have been able to match a few k pre-match of 2-1, but spend thousands of k's getting the match on przysizeny down to where it went.

the world of tennis gambling has gone utterly insane

By:
back 1.71, lay 1.12 (just in case)
thanks and good night :-) now I go eat best beef stroganoff EVER |
By:
anyway the market was smarter this time...
By:
hmm i'm getting carried away here. tens of k's more like it

Yup. He was a serial Tursunov backer apparently and just fancied smashing him 1/3 of his SP when a set down, nothing dodgy at all, just a shame the said punter wasn't mad keen on Dementieva and wanted to smash her odds on when trailing Woz a set down.

do we think he will make it to 4-4 to seem like he is trying to win? 6-1 6-1 would be too obvious.
