back to the day job

Some nights I can get away with just nibbling on the odd bit here or there and others I just can't seem to fill my belly. I usually have a stock of sausage rolls for snacking plus a plated dinner that my mrs has made for me. But tonight it's only 3am and the dinner has gone, 3 sausage rolls and a pot of olives! I have just stuck a pizza in but it looks small so I can see the hunger pangs continuing :( I think I may have to make myself some yummy porridge as that usually does the trick :) Mind you maybe I'm dehydrated? I read somewhere once that when dehydrated the body sometimes confuses thirst with hunger! I'll have a pint of sarsparilla and soda just in case.

Chewits? Do they still sell them? I haven't had chewits since about 1992! Although I seem to remember a preference for the blackcurrant ones :)

It's a cordial. Tastes a bit like root beer I guess. Very nice with soda water but not so nice with still water. I guess it needs the fizz :)

Don't sell it everywhere. I know Booths have it.(supermarket in North West) I always stock up when I find it as can't get it locally :(

Well that's the pizza gone :( Had some sarsparilla and still hungry so not dehydrated. I really fancy a kebab or a kfc but too late for that! I may try and make myself a philly cheese steak sandwich with tobasco sauce Yum :) If all else fails it's porridge time!

It's all the nervous energy used when watching your bets go t1ts up that makes you hungry! :)

Actually that's maybe a good point! Usually I am in the thick of it with barely enough time to nip out for a fag or put the kettle on as my gambles have gone awry and need to trade out of them. So far tonight it has been relatively straight forward for a change so that might be why I notive I'm hungry! I guess winners get fat! I'm still thin unfortunately! :(

Need help tonight! The mrs has made a nice pot of bolognese sauce for me to scoff tonight. But I fancy spicing it up a bit so think I may add a load of chilli powder and have it like that. Do you think I should do the whole lot or portion by portion? Looking at it I have roughly 4 bowls worth and if I do it portion by portion I guess the mrs could have my leftovers for her lunch tomorrow. Also what should I accompany it with? Rice, pasta, bread and butter or crushed crackers?

Just for the record I had bolognese sauce sprinkled with grated cheese and tobasco in a baguette, it was yummy :) Now I'm having a few slices of Jamaican ginger cake and a nice cup of tea :) Still odd having your lunch in the middle of the night!

The remaining Bolognese is now a chilli minus kidney beans! Two jacket spuds popped in the oven. Ready for eating about 1.30/2.00 I think :)

Cup of Tea and some Jamaica ginger cake to keep me going.
