Oh I agree, H. It's not going to bring the house down. A VW isn't a natural crowd pleaser. But it could score highly if he does it as well as that.
The judges have always been very positive towards him. Shirley last night saying he doesn't know how good he is. Anton saying something similar. So would be odd if they suddenly turned negative if he performs it well

he's very good at wafting about and doing 'romantic' It's why he went favourite after his 1st dance

He seems to struggle more with fun and uptempo

George at 2.5 and Alex at 6.5 is genuinely one of the most bizarre set of misplaced odds this show has ever seen.

Unsurprisingly I can't say I agree, bobby

The big issue with Alex, is they keep saying how amazing she is, when quite clearly she hasn't been. She's been very good most weeks, but not amazing.

I've no idea why they're doing it, as the public aren't fools, so it ends up being counter productive

Oh yes. I hadn't noticed as it's back @ 3.7. Mr Lumpy starting to panic. If Bobby is right and it's going to be a great week for Alex, then it will be her he's trying to back next week

I've been on the money with George for weeks now. His price is still miles out. But at least it's finally starting to drift. If it's Alex that the show is going to push then I agree they need to pull something special out next weekend. I do agree her Salsa was nothing special, bit she's still the best all round dancer that's not a ringer.

She is a ringer tho! Not quite as transparent as the younger ones as it's rada and stage school rather than specifically dance. It's obviously a massive advantage being a professional in putting on a live show for decades, acting a part etc. Which is why she can look better than she actually is. Lots of actors and actresses have done well on scd, but it's not quite the same as a sports star or comedian.

Cider beat me to it. Alex has been an actress and performer all of her life and no doubt had some dance training when she was younger.
George and Vicky the only real non dancers. Which means there's more scope for improvement with them.

They won't want three ringers to fill the final, I'd have thought. Which is really the only thing going for Vicky, though I'd say being a reality tv professional isn't too appealing either. Karen fits the bill to be honest. I would have her ahead of Vicky at this point.

Whether we'll see it from them, is another question all together. Vicky has made steady progress. George has gone backwards if anything. But I think you can put that down, at least partly, to some sh1tty themes, songs and dances that it's hard to impress with. Street and CCC in particular

His tango was looking excellent, until he fooked up

Karen something of a ringer too, cider. She was a very keen dancer before she took up football.

Entered a number of competitions. Mostly street and disco, I believe

The public will have no idea about that. If she does manage t get to the final, it might dovetail with spoty. But has the same challenges as Vicky in making the final.

Not that long to wait now, but for me Blackpool will be a huge clue should George get there, re what the show wants. A crowd pleasing classic eg quickstep, or something 'modern' with a theme he will struggle with. And the external choreo people get involved with the Blackpool stuff.

Would actually be a massive triumph for auntie if a female footballer won spoty then scd the following week! Would certainly give some momentum to Karen if one of them wins spoty and Karen was still in it.
By:

yep, it would give Karen a boost. As you say though, she has to get to the final and with only 3 places now, it will be a tight squeeze.
Lewis sure to tale one place. I think they'll dump Amber. She's annoying and whiny and overly emotional. Cries at the drop of a hat
So 2 from George, Alex, Karen and Vicky

I see Mr Lumpy in full on panic mode. His money up at 3.55 now
By:

Amber's personality is tragic. She's 29 and acts like an 11 year old. She's met Ariana Grande. Big deal. Why so excited about it, you're supposed to be a celebrity yourself.

Agreed H. She's more childlike than Ellie. Who is the way she is for obvious reasons
By:

When: 03 Nov 25 12:54
I would be surprised if they managed to get Karen to the final. She is still surely at best the 4th most popular out of the remaining. However if the prods decided to ramp the hell out of her in the remaining weeks then she would have no problem making the final. The issue is she is absolutely rubbish at Ballroom
By:

When: 03 Nov 25 13:56
Yep, her ballroom has been poor. And will probably remain that way, given the problems she has with her spine

That's true but weaknesses can be worked around for those runners in favour. Her best is at least way ahead of Vicky's best. Plus, she's a far better fit for this show's audience. Strikes me as the type to have under the radar support.

Yes I think you're right, no reason for them to change track him until, and if, he can't do the hard dances. The pretend VW (ie slow and easy) they've got lined up for him should play to his strengths.

For several years, ITV’s reality-show voting took place directly inside its mobile apps, and those apps communicated with voting servers through visible network calls.  According to long-time fans and data followers, that design briefly exposed live voting traffic that a few technically skilled users—most notably Dan from TellyStats—were able to monitor, giving them unusually accurate early “predictions.”  In 2022 – 23 ITV quietly migrated all voting to a secure, web-based platform at itv.com/vote, closing off any client-side visibility.  After that change, both early result leaks and suspicious betting-market swings disappeared, confirming that the move to server-side web voting effectively sealed the old vulnerability.

Karen is great with any dance that requires rapid footwork. I guess that's where her dance training comes into effect. Whenever she's required to dance with a good posture and frame she has underwhelmed massively.

What about her ballroom rumba? Great posture there.

Was ok yes, not sure about great. I think Karen will peak this weekend. She was a tad over marked last weekend, and while Alex was also over marked, she was under marked the weekend before. What interests me about the dances so far, as Alex is the one one who has been dealt both the Salsa and Samba, a few of them have done neither. With the CC, American Smooth, Paso, and AT still in at her disposal I am hoping they are saving the best til last. She needs a Helen Skelton type CC this weekend to begin the victory march.

Apparently he won a Viennese waltz dancing competition when he was 12. Or it may have been a Viennese whirl eating competition. Shirleigh mentioned it on tiktok
