Chloe scoring the winning pen may of took the spotlight completely off Hannah but everyone knows a penalty shootout is the time for a goalie to shine, which she did....TWICE
In a major final I'm sure when the panel sit down and weigh up the scenario and what that penalty shootout really means in the context to the outcome, and who really takes recognition and who the true hero really is.... The scorer or the goalie, in a shootout the scorer would make the headlines everytime without any saves...but when a goalie makes the saves the goalie normally gets the headlines every single time. In this case it was probably spilt between the two coz of the importance of that one moment, but make no bones about it, its the goalie who should get the lions share of the credit. The forwards have there moments and chances to shine in 90mins and extra time pens are for goalies and goalies only when they make the saves that creates the winning moment |
