Graph showing someone had a grand on Keely at only 1.32

Now, that is short (even though I think she wins)

The scorched earth possibility is there to get a para over the line. Ducks are lined up, presumably it will be all over prime time beeb and the ideal time zone. What's lacking is a hh name, similar to the predominately underwhelming able bodied haul. But one could imagine the back slapping in bbc towers if they managed to get it. Would probably need to be a story hitherto unwritten, and not very predictable in advance.

Cider, I'm thinking it could be more likely a scorched earth approach to make sure Keely wins it, and get their star athlete golden (female) Olympic winner this year.

KH is vulnerable though, as I noted in other posts she is market default jolly and rightfully so. The would sacrifice her winning IF they could get a para over the line instead. A para is a massive box to tick for them, in olympic year with no able bodied standout, with I'm anticipating lots of para coverage on prime time telly, it could be done is all I'm noting at this point. But they would need a big storyline to leverage.

I see Jonnie Peacock is meant to be participating, now that would be a big one and has the name recognition. I assume he is on the downgrade but still young enough if he wants it enough.

Cheers brushy yes c4 not quite as good. I feel the possibility remains, if the right story turned up.

There is an 'able-bodied standout' though - hence why she was backed recent at 1.32

FINAL ATHLETICS TEAM CONFIRMED FOR PARIS 2024 PARALYMPIC GAMES
The final Para Athletics team for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games has been announced by ParalympicsGB today.

After 10 athletes were selected in the first wave of selection in June, 23 athletes join the squad to represent ParalympicsGB in the French capital next month.

Among the names added to the team are multiple Paralympic medallists Dan Greaves and David Weir who have been called up to their seventh Games. Greaves has won a medal at every Games dating back to Sydney 2000, while Weir has a decorated career at the highest level of the sport and is fondly remembered for his heroics for ParalympicsGB in London 2012 as well as multiple marathon successes around the world.

Two-time Paralympic champion Jonnie Peacock also joins the squad to contest the T64 100m and the Universal 4x100m relay, while reigning Paralympic champions Sophie Hahn and Thomas Young are called-up for the T38 100m, with Hahn also part of the relay squad.

last one standing more than standout. there's no inspirational story behind KH or massive vote motivation, she's simply the only track and field gold winner. it makes her the most likely winner but not a lock.

I don't think it can be overestimated how accustomed we have become to winning olympic golds. For the lay person, the typical person still watching spoty, it's expected. There's just a dearth of anything else that looks a viable challenge right now, hence the market.

I fail to see keely gaining mass motivation to vote for her as well, she was hardly known before the games by the wider public and hardly getting the VIP treatment by the media a big name of the past would of got.
emma obviously in the same exact boat, but has history maker and debutant included in her montage.
if the vote was right now i think emma would beat her hands down

People aren't going to suddenly vote Keely in over 4 months time if they wouldn't now. If anything, less people will.

I think Russ Abbott has a better chance of winning SPOTY than Russ Cook!

Keely interview in Telegraph today. What an inspiration.

SPOTY is over as contest. 1.37 on here is just buying money if you can wait 4 months. Will be 1.2 on the day.

The telegraph is Keely's market for sure. Luke has the sun, the mirror, the delly mell etc etc

Remember there's quite a good poll in the sun.  That'll stick the feline in the pigeons

You wouldn't imagine sun clickers would dictate spoty, but it's often a good guide

Had hammy winning from 7/1 iirc
