He can’t win and won’t win. But you have to cover your position. How much do you have on Keely ?
|
|
By:
Minus, and happy with that
|
|
By:
That’s fair enough. I’m sure most people would have covered themselves in our position.
Even if Like wins doubt many think he really deserves it. Might be end of SPOTY as we know it. |

If he wins it will be because people have voted for him to win
They don't just get Gabby & Clare to pull a name out the hat |

FOTY awaits army if he can get Luke over the line, He will become the 1st dual winner of the award.
|
|
By:
Just to clarify, anyone who backed Keely earlier on is obviously green before this point (she shortened so heavily)
Anyone who had Luke green before shortlist also should be green So it's fairplay all round in this one between the big two. Which is nice between the two main adversaries selections this SPOTY year. |

You could make an extra pound laying yee. And quite a few laying keely
|
|
By:
ty to all the well wishers
Luke has 2 extra motivational factors over Keely, outside of his fans 1) Non Luke dart fans should want there sport to finally be recognised as a sport and win SPOTY for the 1st time. 2) He would be the 2nd youngest ever winner, with a break of 66 years since Ian Black in 1958 Any fence sitters have two reasons to throw there vote his way |
|
By:
The market is clueless so i'm not even commenting on prices, its never respected any sport outside of the elite selections. So anyone banging on about it, really should soak that in.
For the market to get any attention whatsoever from me, it would need to be Tennis v Athletics or F1 v Tour de France winner. You get my drift !! |
|
By:
So i see the Keely backer still misses probably the biggest point of all and probably won't ever recognise this fact coz he has his tongue firmly fixated up her arse.
She is not a household name She is not Kelly Holmes, who when she won Two gold medals, was already a household name and then became a superstar To be a household name in this country you need to be on the lips of most people and well known to them, like Andy Murray, Lewis Hamilton or most of the winners. So tell me how the person less well known beats the household name, who is probably the most famous teenager this country has ever produced. This is effectively B-list v A-list Its as simple as that and mug fav backers thinking she wins coz she's fav are balloon heads, coz the market overrates Keely and underrates Luke. Which is FACT |

For people concerned about Littler fans not turning up to watch the show, i don't see this has any relevance whatsoever, in a world where nearly every person under 40. even older, see there mobile phones as a 3rd hand and SM one push away. His voting number will be all over Tik Tok, instagram, facebook and twitter during the voting window. Being posted and shared countless times, with the help of his mates who are the biggest players in the gaming and youtube communities.
Who gives a feck who turns up, he will still get votes regardless with a campaign to flood SM with VOTE LUKE messages the second lines open. I will be organising this personally |

I've read the phil taylor stuff but no reason for him not to go, close to home and 4 days before his ally pally match
|
|
By:
ofc he'll go, Taylor is chatting sh1t. Its a 30 mins drive for him and 4 days before as you say, Given Luke spends most of the day playing X-Box and rarely needs to practice. I've no idea what Taylor is on about, i doubt he know himself. Over practising for Luke would not be good for him, he needs to stick to what he's been doing.
An evening out enjoying himself and relaxing with our greatest sports stars is far better than sitting at home eating junk food and playing games |
|
By:
He can eat junk food at salford and play games on his phone :)
|
|
By:
He's not guaranteed to get another Nomination for SPOTY and have a chance to play a big part in the show, so ofc he should go. The chances are he wins the worlds at some point and will be nommed again but tomorrow is never guaranteed, so live for the moment.

Littler announced as 'Athlete of the Year' by Google's Year in Search
It has been announced that Luke Littler was Google's 'Athlete of the Year' in their Year in Search results. Google's Year in Search highlights the top trending people, entertainment, moments and most-asked questions in the UK throughout 2024. Littler has been announced as Athlete of the Year, whilst the 17-year-old sensation was also third on the People of the Year list behind Kate Middleton and Donald Trump. Littler has enjoyed an incredible 12 months, reaching the World Darts Championship final in the New Year and enjoying a breakthrough season which has included wins in the Premier League, World Series of Darts Finals, Grand Slam of Darts and World Series events in Bahrain and Poland. Littler's rise to prominence has also been recognised by his nominations for the BBC Sports Personality of the Year and BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year awards. After receiving the award, Littler said: "It has been a crazy few months but I never expected to be the top trending athlete in Google Search this year. "I'm really grateful for all the support people have given me and the growing interest in darts is amazing to see. "I hope my journey inspires more young people into the sport." Speaking on the Google 2024 Search trends, Matt Cooke from the Google News Initiative said: “2024 has been a year of comebacks, curiosity, and community. "Whether it’s fans reuniting for Oasis, young sports stars like Luke Littler making waves, or Brits voting in everything from elections to Eurovision, these searches show a nation full of passion and interest. It's amazing to see what captivated the UK." Littler topped the Athletes category ahead of footballer Lamine Yamal and gymnast Simone Biles. In the People list, Littler ranked third behind Kate Middleton and Donald Trump, but ahead of Prime Minister Keir Starmer and King Charles in the top ten. |

yeah good luck Keely

He even beat every football player, the most watched sport by a mile

|
By:
I'd say he's not even a household name anymore, his stock is firmly at the top.
Luke Littler is a national treasure ![]() |
|
By:
Shouldn’t he be flip flopping Keely by now. The biggest certainty of all time is still available at 9/4 and 3.4 on here. Maybe Littler backers have so much money they don’t need anymore

|
By:
Keely wasn't even in the top 10 most searched Athletes, how embarrassing is that....more like D-List now

Lamine Yamal Simone Biles Jude Bellingham Adam Peaty Anthony Joshua Ollie Watkins Chris Hoy Cole Palmer Nico Williams |

So Luke beat every euro footballer and every Olympian

As bear was asking me, who are you trying to convince army...?
You've done well enough now, so just take the free bet or green surely and sit back and relax..? Unless there's some reason you need to get others to back him (ahem, laying off and he's not short enough for you yet)? |

Can't really share any news about Keely from the BBC can you ? or tell us how proud she was to get invited to the palace or be a flag bearer at the closing ceremony.
She's just selfish, only thinks about herself and what frock she's wearing. The BBC are on to her ![]() |
