The original forum was a rolling one and not in the format it is now.
Every sport was posting at the same time on one page and it was completely chaotic.
You'd have say a Merseyside Derby on, Cheltenham festival, a golf major etc. all fighting for the same bit of space.

A page would drop off in about ten minutes!

It was madness but a lot of fun looking back!

When it was divided into categories it was still very new and people getting to understand the exchange as well as it was something completely different to us using the firms.

The forum was a novelty but it did become part of my daily betting routine to check in for various sports opinions and one still doing what that 23 years later.

They hate saying the same person twice usually in quick succession, they did do it with babba last year though. he was b2 two days in a row and on the 3rd day voted out. now this is extremely rare in recent years, the last time that happened was fleur east, who got a b2 on the 4th and 6th elims. the year before it happened to venessa white, so for 4 years between 2019 and 2022 it never happened.

i think josie was called b2 last night coz they had already called marv and dani b2 and didn't want to make one b2 again.
so for me tonight either marv or dani will go say its dani for arguments sake, there is a strong chance it won't be josie b2 two night running even if she is in the b2, and im guessing they won't want to say marv again. that means they will say one of the others. either tony, sam or nige.
they will probably not want to say nige in all fairness coz that will motivate his army even more, which means it could be a fake sam or tony shout if they don't want to say marv again.

A couple of notable comments from the Telegraph (before yesterday's show) I thought. I definitely see this as an opportunity to reflect our discontentment and contempt for the utterly spineless people in HoC right now. Even the Guardian are publishing long opinion pieces about him on the show. All bile and vicious, obviously. But also angry at itv for providing him with a platform to be successfully humanised.

I do hope Nigel gets to the final two. Not too bothered about him winning though. I think many of us, frustrated by our useless government and voting system have enjoyed casting our proxy votes for Nigel to be King of the Jungle. But let's be honest, the show is ridiculously childish – and it seems fitting that baby-man Sam should win it – not a serious politician. But great if he comes second – it would still make the point well enough-- that Nigel has a substantial loyal following among the British public and is a force to be reckoned with. And, of course, the ensuing Twitter storm would be a delight to behold.

I even installed the app on my 93yr old mum's phone (at her insistence of course) and gave Farage another five votes.
I'm fed up with soft luvvies endlessly telling everyone how "nice" we have to be, let's have a bit of actual national reality on prime time telly for once.
Humes impressed me, the girls have been...well, girly, and Sam Thompson just makes you want to punch him (of course, I wouldn't).
Farage will certainly make the final three, as for winning, who knows?
I can't help thinking ITV now realise this is the worst £1.5M they ever spent, clearly they wanted to destroy Farage politically but it's backfired spectacularly.
