All the momentum is now with the NHS. If it continues it won't even be close.

Everyone purchased the Bieber single in the run-up to Christmas and the momentum for him dried up 2 days ago. NHS still gaining. If Bieber was only 3k ahead when he was at his peak and odds were 1/7 then he doesn't currently stand a chance.
|
|
By:
NHS is ahead, imo.
|
|
By:
Easily aheard and pulling clear, it's 1.01 imho (unless there is serious misinformation).
|
|
By:
Streaming totals are always a day behind and not added to daily totals. Bieber still had 5k plus to be added to todays total
|
|
By:
NHS downloads are still picking up. It was looking poor over the weekend but the supporters are now motivated.

A little brat who spits at his fans verses people who save lives? In any normal world it would be a no-brainer.

I'm hearing this UK Christmas race is close...but the @Choir_NHS single is for charity. So... so for 1 week it's ok not to be #1. Let's do the right thing & help them win. It's Christmas. @Choir_NHS good luck http://www.nhsno1.com/download This is what it's all about. Merry Christmas :) Not as much as a spoilt brat as he's made out to be in all fairness ![]() |

Good on the lad.

Good call from the start aa, hope it's paid for Christmas

His "people" must have told him he wouldn't win so hence largesse. Still £25 green pays for Christmas so can't complain...Merry Christmas one and all.

Thanks, Jack, but while I and army may shout it out a bit louder than some, neither of us were anywhere near first, others were far more ahead of the curve than us two.
Excellent little market, always seems to come as an afterthought when we`re all bored with no XF/SCD etc, but backing the NHS high enough, laying XF pretty low, and Bieber very low, has turned my whole RTV year around, and I`m delighted with it. Hope you`ve done OK, you`ve been here cheerleading as well. |
|
By:
Cheers Tim. I've been trading this market very nicely all week so was in for a nice payout whatever the result. I laid all the 1.08 on Louisa so got off to a good start and backed the NHS with the bookies at 10/1 and 13/2 best prices. It was looking like Bieber until the big momentum shift yesterday.
The NHS record is about to feature on ITV news in a minute by the way. |

By:
30% RTV loses recovered...Every little helps.

By:
Somebody must've lost? Maybe Simon or Louis were betting in this market but now realise they can't simply amend the database

Only peanuts online really. £7 at 10/1, £45 at 13/2 and about another £100 averaging about 3/1.

|
By:
Cheers. Really are a shambles aren't they. Got a friend to open a new account and limits were awful as well. Great work on the 1.08 Louisa lay, probably the best Special bet I can ever remember.
|
|
By:
Jack, the 1.08 was YOU! We were all wondering who got it, top stuff!

By:
well played everyone..this market has been brilliant ..made a 5k profit on the NHS
have a great christmas and a happy new year ![]() Timbuctooth.. you are a legend ! ![]() |

Thanks Cider for the opening post alerting me to the market. And thanks to you and Attitude Adjuster within the first few posts suspecting NHS Choir being value contenders- a virtual pint of Cider and Whiskey to you both respectively (though I'd dread AA's headache the next morning ;) ) :)
|

Did I ever mention what great chaps that Chris Evans & Stephen Fry are (also that ITV breakfast show is great as well) ;)
|
|
By:
Aw shucks, bardo, you`re making me blush! Good to know you`ve done well, as we`ve been in the trenches together throughout.
I always re-read threads at the end of the event, usually worried about how much boll0x I`ve posted along the way. As such, just read this one, and the credit for spotting this early really has to be shared by (in alphabetical order, no favouritism!) aa, Chepster, Cider, and Tom, with cider`s 33/1 being an excellent call. |
|
By:
Cider & AA are the true heroes (gb1 saying there might be twist and turns added more confidence to my bets thats for sure). GB1 I noticed you liked Dune in a previous post- the mini-series by sci-fi channel covering "Dune Messiah" & "Children of Dune" (starring James Mccavoy & Susan Saradon) is great as well- Timbuctooth I reckon you might like the Dune films as well?
|
|
By:
sounds like a great market
well done winners ![]() ![]() |

Always had a thing for the younger Susan Sarandon, since Rocky Horror, but I don`t really watch tv, Well, except for 17,000 hours of RTV stuff, of course... donny, even before I/we ended up winning, it was a fantastic fun market. Always tends to be when you have a 1.08 and 1.10 gubbed. Hope you both did OK |
|

Havent followed this market/thread for a while, wish I had done
WD everyone top work |

Thanks scampi and tim of course
![]() I always thought XF was beatable with the early release and changes to the chart calculations. The events from that point on were beyond my wildest dreams ![]() Definitely the most exciting specials market ever for momentum and market fluctuations. A book could be written on this market, legendary stuff! |
