Quite happy with my initial thoughts and few small bets, Peter has confirmed himself at the top end of the market and Katie's price has contracted consistently since the launch.
Of the others Kellie is one who has impressed me most. At the current prices she is the only other one I would consider backing. She looks better than the 10/1 to be top female. Helen has been better than I expected but that is already reflected in the prices. I didn't know who Jay was to begin with and to me he still looks like a computer geek trying to dance. Hardly hearthrob material is he? No doubt he will be hoping the ladies feel sorry for him. With a better average standard this time the eliminations were always going to be that much more difficult to predict. At least there is no obvious joke candidate to consider each week. As I see it the first out comes from Daniel, Kirsty, Jeremy, Iwan, and Carol. So to try and narrow it down. I expect Daniel's charleston to be borderline horrendous (although obviously Craig's mark will be the only one to reflect this properly) but given his 'reasonable' first week and this potential popularity vote we keep hearing about (not sure about it myself) I am willing to give him the benefit in week 1. Carol was very poor last week but should be better this week and I am more convinced of her popularity than O'Donnell. For that reason I would be inclined to leave her out. It is not so easy to choose between the other three. Iwan is probably the right favourite as he doesn't look very good and seemingly isn't that popular. It might help if he dropped the slightly bullish air and just realised how bad he is but it might already be too late. Vine looks dire and although he might improve slightly this week I suspect he will still be struggling and the 7/1 looks pretty big. The double figure prices about Kirsty have been snapped up, presumably on the basis that her driven personality has little appeal and the salsa is not the best dance to showcase what looks a limited talent. |

Excellent post dd
![]() The pecking order has become quite a bit clearer after the first week.Looking at the market now,I also feel that any value left lies with Kellie at approx 20+. I'd take issue with the comments on Jay and Jezza....plenty of women will find Jay's unassuming personality appealing, plus I think his dancing ability is more than sufficient to triumph in the OR given the requisite slice of luck.I thought Jezza was very entertaining lost week, and would be hopeful his PV is enough to steer him clear of trouble tonight. Quite a few of us on here are on Kirsty (25/1 +) or Iwan (16/1) to go at relatively big odds.....good luck tonight ![]() |

Who's dancing what tonight on Strictly Come Dancing 2015? Here's a rundown of the latest spoilers ahead of Saturday's latest show.
It was the first dances at the weekend as the fifteen celebs and their pro partners hit the ballroom for the first time. There was a pair of split trousers and some grumpy moaning from Craig but fortunately no dance disasters. Now the stars are back in the training rooms for their next dance and this weekend the pressure is on as one celeb will get the boot. After week one, Peter Andre and Helen George held the top two spots at the leaderboard putting them in good stead for the weekend. However those in danger include Iwan Thomas, Carol Kirkwood and Jeremy Vine. The marks from last weekend will be added to this weekend's scores before being combined with the results of the public vote to decide the bottom two dancers. But what about the performances? Here's tonight's Strictly's song and dance list! Tonight's Strictly Come Dancing 2015 songs and dances - Week 2 Ainsley and Natalie will be serving up a Salsa to ‘Don’t Touch My Tomatoes’ by Josephine Baker. Anita and Gleb will be performing the Charleston to ‘Pencil Full Of Lead’ by Paolo Nutini. Anthony and Oti will be Waltzing to ‘If You Don’t Know Me By Now’ by Simply Red. Carol and Pasha will be performing the American Smooth to ‘Isn’t This A Lovely Day’ by Irving Berlin. Daniel and Kristina will be performing the Charleston to ‘Let’s Misbehave’ by Cole Porter. Georgia and Giovanni will be Waltzing to ‘Georgia On My Mind’ by Ray Charles. Helen and Aljaž will be performing the Cha Cha to Uptown Girl by Billy Joel. Iwan and Ola will be performing the Cha Cha to ‘Sexy And I Know It’ by LMFAO. Jamelia and Tristan will be performing the Cha Cha to ‘Don’t Cha’ by ****cat Dolls. Jay and Aliona will be Waltzing to ‘See The Day’ by Dee C Lee. Jeremy and Karen will be performing the American Smooth to ‘Happy Together’ by The Turtles. Katie and Anton will be Tangoing to ‘Telephone’ by Lady Gaga feat. Beyonce. Kellie and Kevin will be performing the Cha Cha to ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’ by Elton John & Kiki Dee. Kirsty and Brendan will be performing the Salsa to ‘Can’t Touch It’ by Ricki Lee. Peter and Janette will be Quickstepping to ‘Valerie’ by The Zutons. Phew! What do you make of that then? A few thoughts from last night.
Even happier with Katie now. Marks again didn't reflect comments - I don't think too many people would have been surprised to see a few 8's - but the market continues in one direction. Without Anton she would have a great chance of winning but even with him the top female is definite possibility. I still don't get Jay. Another very dodgy look. In fact looked as if he had taken a trip to Charlie Stayt's barbers. I can understand the judges talking him up in pursuit of a younger audience but he really wasn't that good and I am not sure how long the vulnerable and shy act is going to wash. Kellie went backwards from week one and glad I didn't have that bet. I thought the charlston exposed Anita although to be fair she had to deal with an uninspiring routine, and I suspect the audience are not really going to warm to the porcelain doll that is Helen. Only had one bet last night. Pretty surprised I managed to get odds against Iwan when it looked pretty obvious there was nobody he could beat in the dance off. I expect it will be the same suspects for next week's elimination. Don't think anyone moved significantly in or out of the danger zone. |
