But no need to be down. Other Reality things will eventually come along and be big, XF, BGT, IAC still have decent liquidity, and ESC will have astounding liquidity for ever and a day.

And some people think Marc is thick and isn't a real doctor Wink

5.35pm: Marc is telling Nikki why humans don't need an appendix. Fascinating.

we have already established Marc is not a doctor, and if he becomes one it won't be a doctor of medicine

Marc's text books are out of date. In the last 18 months decent theories have appeared about it's use. Or rather decent evidence, there were always decent theories.

Research performed at Winthrop University-Hospital showed that individuals without an appendix were four times more likely to have a recurrence of Clostridium difficile colitis. The appendix, therefore, may act as a "safe house" for commensal ("good") bacteria.

Recently... improved understanding of gut immunity has merged with current thinking in biological and medical science, pointing to an apparent function of the mammalian cecal appendix as a safe-house for symbiotic gut microbes, preserving the flora during times of gastrointestinal infection.

In a more recent paper, the appendix was found to have evolved at least 32 times (and perhaps as many as 38 times) and to have been lost no more than six times. This suggests that the cecal appendix has a selective advantage in many situations and argues strongly against its vestigial nature. This complex evolutionary history of the appendix, along with a great heterogeneity in its evolutionary rate in various taxa, suggests that it is a recurrent trait.

I dunno if I've got mine or not. My parents are dead so can't ask them.

The stupid arrogance of the modern age:

We can't find what this organ does therefore it must be vestigial, let's cut it off.

the prods will be watching his price intently, and as with all d1ckheads they bury in them in edit if they think there walking away with it.

you really think there make the same mistake as last year, giving a pr1ze pr1ck the pass.

also stop bleeting on about he's the star, they wont get rid.
never stopped them before, the prods are totally clueless in the running of this show.
so when does he get his pass then

unless they wrangle him a pass somehow, as mach suggested

By:

Of course they can wangle him a pass. Gonna look pretty stupid if it's 4 or 5 times though

I suspect it'll be like Jun Jaaaames, they'll let him go right near the end

I think only fatty and harry can save him in an eviction just now. One will go this week

This situation may worsen, so it'll be interesting to see how the prods manipulate it

Showbiz very quiet, can't see too many being arsed to get rid of him just now
