It's ok all the time he's having a go at Rebeckah, but when he starts on the others, as he already is, then his popularity could plummet.
Much like Rex. |
By:
Maybe. But he will, imho, pick one the right ones, the "villains". He seems to be very perceptive that way.

Kitten - to be fair this morning I posted on another thread about this sort of contestant (ala Rex Marcus etc) and how they don't win. Of course, what I was failing to fully consider was that this is a positive vote through to the end, so he will possibly have a better chance than those had. It did take an almighty effort (bringing in the fiance) to stop Rex winning, and he still did very well. So I've now added myself to the Aaron group along with my attachment to Alex's slowtrain.
Incidentally, while he's trading favourite on here, he's actually only 3rd favourite on the spread betting at Sporting Index, so I piled in on that front rather than here. |
By:
Should add, I've also caved in to the rather hugely impressive polling figures he is managing to produce, which are pretty amazing.
By:
...and finally, he's my missus' pick!
By:
Yeah I've got on the spreads today. They took their eye off the ball!
By:
Wouldn't be surprised if they've taken a fair few hefty bets, while his price dropped on here.
By:
I'm a big fan of Aaron but I do think his current odds are off the mark. Think he should be about 8-1.
By:
JR - old days, negative vote, I'd agree - positive vote only then he is far stronger in this competiton.
By:
Hope so stu - like to see him win. My worry is, he may wind up a few too many HMs over the coming weeks, and get involved in a dangerous elimination battle or two
By:
Polling between 45% and 55% in a 13 runner race?
In a positive vote? Should be odds on. Evens at best. In theory, if all the other votes for all the other housemates went against him in a one on one situation, he'd still probably win. |
By:
Like your confidence TK. I got Aaron at 10s on Outright e/w (just missed the 14s - grrrr) and 7s to be Top Male.
By:
Can't win, but GL lads.
By:
Rofl at Kitten taking a poll of obv less than 100 people literally. Game players do not win. End off.
By:
Good luck kitten x x but sorry i cant see it another rex for me ( or dare i say it a darnell he he ) anyone whos that oppinionated doesnt win bb but theres allways a first time and i will be the first to say very well done if hes successfull xx x x

They are all playing the game Chompy. Don't see why Aaron deserves singling out above others.
By:
If anything he's less of a game-player than most of them in there, he's pretty up-front. I think that's a large part of his appeal, as it was with Rex and Marcus.
By:
Rofl at Kitten taking a poll of obv less than 100
Have you looked at the polls recently chompy? Fair few more than 100, and all the sort that will actually vote on this. Plus, we have the evidence already from the first vote (where they confirmed he had the most - admittedly not that hard against the competition there, but still evidence people actually voted for him, and this competition is a positive vote competition). |
By:
NB - for any joining now, I'd very much suggest using Sporting Index where he's still only 3rd favourite while he's favourite with the bookies/here.
By:
He's good for a sell on SI.
By:
Any reasoning for that cider? - massively risky sell against the current favourite.
On SI buyers profit even if he only comes 3rd in this (unlike on BF). Sellers risk him making 50 points (win) and losing 36 times their stake, and have to sell at 14 points. If he comes 5th(!) they only make 9 points profit. |
By:
There's actually not that much in it, but I'm loathed to do a straight forward lay. If his price depresses any further I might have to.
Anyone that likes him, will now, he won't win fans over. Every year we get people quoting early polls, they're worthless as far as pointing to the winner goes. |
By:
Laura, Kat, Freddie, Corin?, Maxwell?
None made the final. |
By:
Pete the one exception in the years I've watched.
By:
Stu, there's a reason why's he's only third favourite on Sporting's index as opposed to fav elsewhere - it's a completely different market, sigh
By:
Obv they are all there to play the game but there's playing the game and being a game player. Admitting you a re playing a game is NEVER a good move.
By:
I wish he was odds on, I'd run up a proper red

"Her problem will be having a story" is signing in? LOL, you are beyond hope sir

^^ wrong fret thicket
By:
Don't fret chompy.
Things will sort themselves out |
By:
Fair point about favourites don't always win, but there are a fair few points also missing:
1/ He wasn't the first favourite - that was Mark/Jay before him. 2/ There's never been a BB where the favourite didn't have to face a negative vote off. 3/ For cider - he doesn't have to win for buyers to win 4/ For chomps - yeh, it's a different market, a better one for his backers! |
By:
Also, early runners can win/go close: Pete, Brian for example...
By:
I'd say he is a worthy fav at present. We have seen shorter favs at this stage in the past also.
By:
And how many favourites have we seen at this stage that have had this big a lead in the polls? Not many I'd say.
By:
Exactly stu. His poll rating is stunning.
I think it's simply that he is the maturest person in the house. The BB audience seems to be getting older and can't relate to these young wannabes. And add to that that you can vote on facebook - IF you have a credit or debit card. That destroys the potency of the teeny vote - we've seen that already with Jedward. |
By:
When was BB ever decided by that vote though?
