I was looking at that too chris.
His training looked excellent, but what worried me a little was craig picking out a few technical faults yesterdays, so probably 7's and 8's rather than 8's and 9's. Probably better to top up on the OR. GL though. |

nice little article in the NOTW today dissing Ricky W
featured him dancing in a pop video 3 years ago and then told us he swans around back stage at SCD,as he thinks he's the best ....not the most popular with the others :) |
|
By:
Good to hear it aa :)
He's a shockingly poor favourite. Even less likeable than Danyl. I don't see how he can win a public vote. Tuffers, Ricky G, or one of the decent women look certain to beat him. |
|
By:
Time to start laying now that he has crossed the 2 threshold, was waiting for that.
Navigating a route to the final is going to be extremely tricky. Neither Phil or RickyG are good enough to avoid losing a dance-off. Better dancers like Jade, RickyW, Ali and Zoe are looking like potential regulars for the bottom two in the weeks to come. |
|
By:
Ricky Whittle makes no emotional attachment with viewers, as Camilla was pointing out this morning on Breakfast. Same with Jade and Zoe. Thing is, they will aim to create this in the edit, as they did with Zoe on Sat. Jade will get same sort of coverage next Sat - disappointment at not receiving public vote etc.
Craig has cleverly used his goal of reaching Blackpool as means of building support. As such, I expect him to survive again next Sat. |
|
By:
What do you make of Woman's Own reporter saying that RW was probably their most popular SCD contestant ever? These would be the 'core' voters. Guys that look like Ricky can get away with not having a personality. Just look at pretty boy Lloyd on xf!

btw I feel there's a small rick in the market, Zoe top female 13-2. She consistently gets high marks and would be safe in most dance-offs. Why should Jade be a shorter price ? And Laila is in danger any time she gets a latin.
|
|
By:
I see Jade as better than Zoe, Cider, on a par with her at least in ballroom and better in fast Latin. Laila's ballroom is good enough to defeat both in a dance off. Yes, she's not as good in fast Latin but danger of laying her is, I see her continuing to poll very highly and likely to avoid bottom 2 in coming few weeks. I know Nat has been waiting to do this jive but is it going to be any good? I have my doubts.
So much rests on precisely where you think Ricky G, Nat and Chris poll. |
|
By:
In terms of actual scoring, (of course some dependancy on what dance they get):
Zoe 4 - 1 Laila Zoe 3- 1 Jade + 1 draw. Counting week one and two as one week. |
|
By:
Nat has been waiting to do every bl00dy dance, cider...and every dance is her favourite,
She can't last much longer. |
|
By:
fll - I agree. She has to go soon, maybe as soon as 5 days time...
|
|
By:
I cant work out RickyW's support as of yet. What I will say is I would still have him as fav.
Jade will end up a better dancer than Zoe (IMO Zoe's waltz and AS were not on the same level as Jade's VW, and were both overmarked by at least 4 points), whether the marks reflect that will be another thing. |
|
By:
I just can't see him winning sean.
He's my biggest red now Jo has left, which is a slight worry, but I totally agree with Camilla. He just dosen't engage the viewer. Who looks forward to seeing him and Natalie on ITT evey week? Surely no one. They are both incredibly dull. No wit, No charm, no nothing. Ramps was a very quiet guy, but in sense that was his charm. A shy introverted guy who comes alive on the dance floor. Ricky isn't really shy, he's just bland and also has an air of arrogance about him. Ramps was also in the capable hands of Karen. An extremely outgoing, fun, engaging woman. Ricky W has Nat :| My red might get bigger. |
|
By:
Ramps and Karen were vibrant and came alive on the dance floor

Absolutely squares.
The best couple ever. If there was ever a champion of champion series I'd be on these 2. |

Hollyoaks star Ricky Whittle has revealed that he would love to star in a remake of 1987 romantic movie Dirty Dancing. The actor, who is favourite to win this year's Strictly Come Dancing, said that he would be willing to wear a "dodgy wig" to replace the late Patrick Swayze in a sequel. "Antonio Banderas is getting on and sadly Patrick Swayze has gone, so I could be the lead in Dirty Dancing 4. I'd love to do Patrick," he told The Sun. "I know Patrick wasn't a black baldy but I would be willing to wear a dodgy wig. I'm right soppy. I used to put on this macho image, but behind closed doors it is mine and Carley's [Stenson, girlfriend] favourite film." |

My biggest concern is the panel will push and push for RickyW to win the closer we get to the end of the series, and conversely try and play down Tufnell's routines. They did the same last year constantly talking up (and arguably over-marking) Rachel and to lesser extent Lisa. Most of us on here were convinced Rachel couldn't win but if it hadn't been for the semi-final fiasco, and Tom getting his free pass, she probably would have won.
Also interesting to note Laila only has one fast Latin left to negotiate - the salsa. And we now know Jade & Zoe have voting weakness, though no doubt Jade will copy Zoe in avoiding bottom 2 this coming Sat. By my reckoning Jade will be doing an AS or a foxtrot this week. |
|
By:
RW will also be the only sleb eye-candy for the females (and some males probs)
|
|
By:
Women aren't that shallow, cider.
Well that's what they like to tell us anyway. |

women like butch better than that to55er fact figgy

He's clearly male totty, cider, but male totty for teenage girls and young women.
Most of whom will be watching XF. The demographic for this show is much older and pretty middle England. An aloof hollyoaks actor dosen't have the same appeal to middle England as Ex cricketers, an ex Blue Peter presenter, or numerous ex rubgy players. I think we could see him in a 'shock' bottom 2 pretty soon. |
|
By:
lol aj.
I hope you're right. Well not about the butch part, but that he's not popular. And cheers squares. Just Zoe to go. |

and Laila

Oh yep.
Laila with a ballrroom would be interesting this week. |

She has the AS, Waltz or VW left, of the ballroom.
Zoe - Samba, Salsa or Cha Cha. |
|
By:
assume they will all do different dances so not another cha cha or waltz?
|
|
By:
oh ok.
Yep, that seems logical. |

Not saying that it will win it for him, fll, just that it is a factor. I noticed some old biddies fancying him on itt, quite a bit of stuff on the BBC forum and there's that Woman's Own thing. I too feel that the market is over keen on his chances. I don't anticipate him getting much shorter so a good time to lay (I missed the 1.8's, don't know exactly when/why that happened). I'm keeping him a small winner fwiw.
|

By:
Ladcrookes prices up for highest score etc - some great value there imo
|

By:
Jo Wood (on ITT) is looking like one of those trolls that used to go on top of pencils.
|

Laila was worse than Tuffers looking at that.

Laila VW - will be quality, I reckon
