And, these pockets must be only an inch or so wide. Almost every tele-tournament table in the last ten years has been described as having tighter pockets than the last ones. It is so boring.

there's been variation between events, different table manufacturers used etc

Was just watching him and thinking to myself he reminds in one way of Jimmy White in that every so often, at a crucial point in a break, he loses concentration/focus/whatever it is and misses a very potable one, and away he goes and does it.

It is a grim fact of my life that the John Parrotts and the Steve Davis’s now look so like the very old boys who used to commentate when I first watched snooker.  It is eerily sobering to see them in clips as young, fit, could jump through hoops twenty year olds!  Cry
