don't give ronnie much hope against judd unless he somehow raises his game a few gears
hmmm - seven times champ vs a chronic crucible underachiever? |
By:
thats in the past at. ronnie right now v trump right now should be no contest
By:
it's all about performing when the pressure is on - and ronnie is not luca or murphy
By:
very true. but less than 80 percent pot success right now for ronnie means he should be beaten by almost anybody
By:
if he does beat jiahui and he may well do then reputation is going to have had a lot to do with it rather than performance
By:
Si don't have drop his chalk a lot

Shot of tournament so far that, was not expecting it to drop.
By:
too many misses. ronnie has been fortunate. everyone he's played has had an off day
By:
And then there were four
By:
That happens a lot.
By:
cue ronnie telling us all how badly he's playing. thing is... he's right
By:
very true. but less than 80 percent pot success right now for ronnie means he should be beaten by almost anybody
he plays as well as he needs to it will be a judd ronnie final - the rocket will win |
By:
judd ronnie final should be a great watch. judd for me but i won't say he will win it. who knows for sure
By:
Think zhao isn't the worst opponent for him, if he's patient and feeds off mistakes. Think he's always relished putting the new kids on the block in their places whenever he gets the chance, whether he's still capable of it i guess we'll find out.
By:
ronnie is a phenomenon. all the great players over the years - davis, white, hendry - you could see when they were past their best. even higgins and mjw - still good but not what they were.
ronnie looks as good as ever |
By:
we'll have to disagree at. no way he looks as good as ever for me. not even close. ronnie wouldn't say he looks as good as ever either
By:
2 fascinating semi finals to look forward to.
. |
By:
ronnie wouldn't say he looks as good as ever either
ronnie rarely misses an opportunity to tell us how badly he's playing ![]() |
By:
in this case i dont mind what he says. i go by what i can see and its not good. listen you think one way i think another. no problem with that
By:
i dont see how you can say he looks as good as ever. either in terms of numbers or performance. but that's your opinion and your entitled to it
By:
Luca did his best -but once he beat Ding it was an impossible task
the curse continues |
By:
He's not playing anywhere near the level of trump, a blind man could tell you that. Doesn't mean he can't win it, he could up his game quite easily but i can't see anyone beating Judd from here. Would love to see Xintong win though.
By:
absolutely pandora. the line was he looks as good as ever. if the line is can he win it that's another line and of course the answer is yes
By:
i forgot about that stat GW.
![]() ![]() Well remembered. |
By:
The interesting factor is that the Ron v Zhao semi looks like a bit of potential bloodbath that could drain whoever wins it.
By:
to beat ronnie in these long matches you have to get into his head - a selby ebdon type. only mjw fits the bill of the players left - highly unlikely he'll make the final

Trump V Xintong Final, Trump wins FiNal Lookin BeTWeeN His LeG's.

A lot of early interest in frame 26 of the Williams v Trump match

lol they are obviously just declaring that one a draw hfink

Really interesting semi this one between Ron and Zhao - maybe could see it as the old vs the new in terms of possible greats?
I think the baton passes here, and Zhao wins it - though only partly because I can get odds against on Zhao here ![]() GL all if playing. |
By:
lol strange things are afoot!
I'm assuming this is a c0ck-up by BF, as I remember being affected by something similar in a previous tournament, where I THOUGHT I'd put a bet on the match odds the night before, but by the morning the money was matched on one of the very late frames. Plus a bunch of other money matched on the same frame. I don't think the frame markets were even available at the time of the bet. |
By:
Yeah - BF have cocked-up the order of the markets so that when you click on "Mark Williams v Judd Trump" it immediately takes you to Frame 26 rather than Match Odds.
They may void the market - or the match might not get to frame 26! (unlikely). |
By:
There's still value there - price to lay @ 1.56 against correct price of circa 1.74.
By:
yeah fair frame betting 8/11 judd 11/8 mark J so if...IF...all 100% value to lay @ 1.5x
