So, as we know, next week's World Grand Prix will take place in Hong Kong starting on Tuesday. With 4 waves of 2 BO7 tables each day, that means 0500 starts for us here in Blighty

Selby, Trump, Wilson, Allen all got tough openers. I'll be doing my usual Trixies on the underdogs until the field is down to 8. If I was going to try make a prediction it would be Smurphy, but he's got a tough first-round match against Mags. GL. |

Slightly surprised by just how dominant Jack's record is over Zhang! 7-0 and 34 frames to 10! Allied to Zhang having a poor season compared to last, Jack is my strongest fancy of the opening pair of matches. MJW and Butch are both underperforming this season. Butch hasn't won a single frame in either of the two non-CL(I) matches he's played in 2025, but we are getting to his time of the year. |

Woolly gets a free hit after Mag's withdrawal, and has an excellent record in the first rounds of events. He's outrunning his odds for the season, but numbers wise, if Shon turns up, he should have too many guns for Woolly. |
