So, as we know, next week's World Grand Prix will take place in Hong Kong starting on Tuesday. With 4 waves of 2 BO7 tables each day, that means 0500 starts for us here in Blighty
"A new initiative this season offers that bonus as a reward to the first player who can get their century tally into three figures. This has only ever been achieved twice before, in 2013/14 when Neil Robertson made 103 tons over the campaign, and 2019/20 when Trump himself compiled 102."
Hadn't realised this - very nice bit of cash coming to Judd - 18 more to go I think comm said.

Contrasting starts. Shon takes on a cruiseliner plant in the opener, misses and leaves the world on. Robbo does the rest. Followed by Robbo misses a red, leaves it in the jaws but with Shon having no way of getting to it other than coming off the opposing cushion and trying to knock it in. He fails to pot it, sticks it, and from going into the pack, Robbo ends up on a maxi chance, which eventually breaks down, but not before the frame is over. 2-0 Robbo.

Robbo is now guaranteed of top 16 (14th if he loses tomorrow, 11th if he wins) and qualifies for Players Champs and Tour Champs (I think guaranteed) and can therefore go up the rankings further.
If Butch wins, he'd go up to 13th in the rankings. If he doesn't win, he'd stay 20th, but does qualify for the Players Champs and can therefore still improve. Victory would pretty much guarantee his Tour Champs place, too, I think.
Ali is currently 15th in the rankings but doesn't qualify for the Players Championship (and I don't think can therefore qualify for the Tour Championship either). That means his position cannot be improved and could get worse.
Wu, Waco and Lei are all at the Players Champs but are outside the Top 16. Based on last year's prize money, it's likely that Wu & Waco would have to win it to get inside the Top 16 but could potentially improve further if they went deep enough to guarantee a Tour Champs place. If Lei were to win the Players Champs, he'd still be outside the Top 16 but would qualify for the Tour Champs, where he could earn some more money.
That's how it reads to me, anyway.

Sorry, just looking at this again, I'd forgotten to consider what Xiao can do. Robbo's not yet guaranteed, but it would take quite a lot for him not to be there (him to lose tomorrow, Xiao to earn more from PC & TC than he and either Wu, Waco or Lei to win PC/TC and go deep at the other while Robbo exists early at both).
