Si is very hot and cold. One of those players with a vast gap between his best and his worst. I'm not a massive fan myself, but when they're going in, he is able to build up quite a head of steam. Think the prices are about right.
Shon was raving yesterday about how well Baz was playing in an exhibition the two played last week. He was scoring REALLY well pre-Xmas, too. Judd *probably* does win, though. |

Afternoon all. Not seen much yet but hope to catch some today. Interesting Judd and Baz hth in this event is 2-2 and all those have gone the distance bar one which Judd won 6-4. Given baz recent form is decent, probably would expect this to be tight enough too.
Si seems to me to be the kind of modern player the game is developing, just go for it and don't worry too much about craft. Not that unlike Zhao in truth, just a lesser version and talent. |

Zhang/ Luca double today.

Lots of mixed signals today.
Zhang has lost his ruthless edge of last season. He's still scoring pretty well, but his frame strike rate has dropped off a cliff. Both he and Kyren were in mini-scoring slumps when we last saw them in 2024. Watching brief at the start for sure. Luca started the season horrifically and was starting to show glimmers towards the back end of last year. Wakelin, conversely, started really well and then suffered a dip. Wakelin is a qualifier for me at odds against, but if their respective trajectories continue on the paths they were heading pre-Xmas, Luca could easily win. Another to see how things start for me. |
