He's too comfortable, IMHO. Got himself on this nice little jolly to Macau, guaranteed prize money.... Guaranteed £15k at the Masters.... Doesn't need to worry himself with doing too much else. Certainly doesn't need to be doing with all the stress of going deep in tournaments, only for it all to go wrong.

I think he's coming to realise he doesn't like the pressure, how he handles the pressure and subsequently how he's being typecast. His performances in recent weeks have been miles off it. John and I discussed several weeks ago that he really needs a head guy in his corner, and not in an Ebdon way! He's NEVER going to win anything without one.
Macau is "Ronnie's tournament" (well, an element off - that seems to have grown a second leg) that was originally due to clash with NI. He plays Kyren on the 27th. |
