GIN,

Granty says "Cheers" and asks gently whether you have enjoyed watching Bath this season?

Telling choice of word there sir. Torturer he is, I laughed up my lunch when he described Ronnie as disrespectful for beating him a few years ago in the semi. He disrespects everyone he plays with his gamesmanship.

Ebdon actually quite amused me, putting his heart and soul into it. At least he was genuine.

Yep, Luca's thrown a bit of a spanner into the supposed script of the new Si phenomena for sure there, some doubt emerged.

What is it about Luca winning runs of frames...7 v Ronnie, now 5 so far here...?

Would have been perfect scenario for Si to have been facing a quick finish this afternoon with the prospect of his two prospective final opponents battering each other well into the small hours. Still a possible advantage there if he can maintain his equilibrium against whatever onslaught luca can muster against him.

Find it weird this obsession with over attacking, lack of thought snooker. Selby v Higgins match was by far the best quality match so far. Selby v Allen has been much more fascinating than the other match imo.

Selby as boring as fck. Unfortunatley cant see anyone left who can beat him

People can have their personal preference but you need both for the game to thrive imo. A snooker world entirely of Sis/Brecels or Selbys/Wilsons would be severely diminished, it's the contrasts that elevate it to another level. And give folk something to work with when they feel like having a moan too Wink

Tactical snooker is great but they need to just quicken up between shots. Waiting 30 secs+ for the player to dolly up to the pack etc is what bores people.

Selby a fantastic player and if you had to put your life on somebody winning a marathon it would be him but lets face it whilst there are no doubt a select few who enjoy his grind me down tactics, win at all costs(as close to the limit as the rules allow) snooker I'd venture to say that snooker as spectator sport would be finished if everybody played like he does.

I've noticed that both Ronnie O and Mark Allen have been to see sports psychologists and both emerged with a penchant for holding a cup of drink with both hands like they are sat by the fireside at a campsite.
Coincidence?

I think Selby has fried Mark Allens brain in this match. Poor bloke looks as though he hasnt slept for a month. Well done for taking the 16th though.
