Facking forum.
We have pics. 2-0 Clarke, 2-0 Devlin, with Jimmy R playing like he's still hungover from Saturday night's horror show. |

Some petulant lashing out from Ajain when it looked like he had a shot on from a snooker, Clarke punishes. 3-2.

Good match ongoing in the world junior championships. Stan Moody v Matvei Lagondzischii. The Ukrainian is 2-1 ahead, been keeping an eye on this kid for a while. Just 11 and might be a little bit special.

Jimmy limps over the line, 4-3.
Hancorn 1-0 over Lilley |

Well Moody dug it out in the end but am totally smitten with this ukrainian kid. First came across him when boiko posted a video of him making a 147 in practice when he was 9. If he keeps developing, gonna be fun to watch i think.

It's the results that are impressing me lats. Reaching knock out stages of Euro under 18s, only narrowly missing out same in the u/21s, reaching semis of Ukraine senior championships. That's serious going for a guy of 10/11 years old. Just have to hope he keeps the appetite and doesn't burn out. Safety game also eye-catching for a kid.

I heard the commentators raving about Stan "the action" Moody at the shoot out only a few weeks back, but he had to go to the well to beat this guy today.

Lilley misses an absolute sitter of a pink and fails to take advantage of an exceptional chance to steal for 3-2. 4-1 Hancorn.

You have a much better handle than me on that side of the game, mate. Don't really know anything about the "juniors". I look forward to following his progress (hopefully!) I wouldn't normally get excited about 11 year olds ![]() but honestly been a while since i saw once this prodigious. Not really that much among the juniors you'd get excited about really, Moody definitely a nice player but already has pressure on him. Whatever's there likely mostly in china. As a wise old pundit once said, you win nothing with kids so we'll just see how it goes ![]() ![]() |

Moody has a nice cue action, but a pretty jittery pre shot routine replete with Kyren Wilson style vigorous cue rubs. The other Interesting guy in it is Deaville, might be a good bet to win it.

Have to say, this is the deadest I can ever recall the markets. I know there's Champions League football tonight, but jeez! It was better this afternoon, and that almost never happens! |

By:
I think qualifiers are a good idea but they don't help in terms of interest I'd say.
Think you're right about Deaville, definitely got something. And matvei won his second match so one more and he'll be in knock out ![]() |

I don't disagree with that at all mate. Like, for me, the big advantage of having Qs is that you could play more frames, but since they don't do that for the home events anyway, it's all moot. I expect it'll be more or less back to normal from next season though.

|
By:
It's been so long, I've forgotten what "normal" looks like
![]() 1-0 Lu over Walker. I was about to sing Ginger Simon's praises for making an excellent clearance to steal frame 1 from Pagett, but he then went and missed a brown off the spot. Pagett then also missed it, stuck it, Ginger Simon potted brown and blue, but went in off in potting the pink, leaving him needing a snooker. Top draw muggery. 1-0 Pagett. |
