JB flukes the pink and steals frame 3 (Emery had his own opportunity to pot the not-terribly-difficult pink himself and missed), 2-1 JB.

Been out all evening so got to see none of it. Nothing major but nice to get a win anyway, always think license can be taken on with the shorter formats, big respect come sheffield time though!
Judging from scores, emery had his chances. Playing JB on the main table, probably a good experience for him. Could well be promising, though I'd forgotten, i did see quite a bit of him in the juniors, was definitely decent enough. |

Dotty could have forced a respot, but instead sticks it, 4-4.

Still just 19 lats, definitely like the sound of him, a young brit with potential - not a lot of those floating about lately!
Interesting day tomorrow. Think boiko has very good chance of nabbing an overdue win early doors. Chat then ![]() |

You're right, mate, today looks waaaaaay more interesting than yesterday!
![]() ![]() It will be fascinating to see how Fan performs in his first match since his European Masters win. There's a cigarette paper between them on their numbers for the season. Definitely a watching brief on that one. Milkins is having an absolute shocker of a season, posting comfortably the worst numbers he has since I started recording them (2015/16 season). Xiao is outscoring Lines Jr, but not by an insurmountable distance. This one's also really interesting, because the last couple of times we've seen Xiao, he's been so far off it that it has led to me wondering if he's got issues off the table. Big Boy isn't playing great, and while JOC is a bit of a bottle job, there's not much between them on the numbers. JOC also won their only meeting to date. 11/4 has potential as a trading price, if nothing else. For all Theppy has been having a poor season, he's still outscoring Mags, and he has a 2-1 H2H record over the Scot. Tian Pengfei's scoring has fallen off an absolute cliff this season. Barring something drastic having happened in the last three weeks, Kyren looks banker material. Hicks has caused problems for quite a few players this season (most notably Dave - TWICE). His scoring is not that far off Slessor's. This is the exact sort of match that Slessor would expect he only has to turn up to win. Filthy is outscoring Carro by a bit more than usual this season, but it does feel like Luca has come off the top of where he was a few weeks ago. H2H is 2-2. Carro win at a price would not be a massive shock. On the numbers, Dark just be a very slight fav against Yuan, not enough to get excited, though. Not much to say about the other matches. Be lucky! |

Morning mate. Early birds this morning, hopefully a few tasty worms knocking about
![]() I'm going with Boiko anyway. Of course, I'd completely forgotten he'd beaten young Davies last week, a match i even watched, so this a chance i think to get another win. Opponent is No.15 on top up list, checking his amateur results, I'm not bowled over. Can see a lot of muggery here, tour experience could edge it for the kid and i think he should be a slightly clearer favourite. One factor worth noting is a lot of these guys are fighting for tour places and running out of tournaments, likes of Lines, Tian, Slessor etc. Question is does that pressure help or hinder them? Theppy definitely needs the win and I'd bet on that focussing him. Has the match under his belt too which might help. Agree on Fan. Did he lose a narrow one to Cao Yupeng last week? I'd slightly favour him here i think, one for treble purposes with ricky and Thep for me. I did look at Carro for a bit but just find it hard to summon much enthusiasm for him. Probably will play Lyu against Murph later, price not that great tbh, but if Murphy neck and back issues are as serious as I'm hearing, then a longish trip to Turkey not likely to be much of a help imo. Could be vulnerable again today I think. Yeah, definitely interesting looking day mate. Not sure how much I'll get to watch but gl with yours ![]() ![]() |

Sorry mate, cao match was of course a qualifier so played before the European masters. Should know never to doubt you

The Fan v Cao match was at the qualies, mate, ie before the European Masters proper.

Good point about those playing for their cards. You are always better versed than I on who gets to stay on beyond the top 64 itself.

Scoring's already fact....

I do like to keep an eye on it alright, but whether it helps for punting purposes is debatable as you never know how a player will react in those situations. But i think it's good to know anyway. Like, rickys in the running for tour championships spot and top 16 for crucible seeding so I'd expect him to be focussed and clinical against Craigie today. That's the theory anyway!

Michael White 3-2 up on xintong. I fancy that one to go right down to the wire

It really is poor, mate. Happens far too often for it to be acceptable.

Somebody's won the opening frame in Ding v Milkman (assuming it wasn't a ridiculously late re-rack
). No idea who. |
|
By:
Big Boy on the board, thanks in part to a massive fluke to get in for his first break.
Milkins wins the second frame, for sure. Fan 1-0 up on Zhou. Scores must be close in the Xiao v Lines match, but no idea what they actually are. |
|
By:
Fckin 2 days to fix it too. Bunch of amateurs!
Fan gets first frame but plenty of muggery there from both. Say you're wise enough to sit this one out lats. |
|
By:
Ding looks thoroughly fedup with life. I suspect it's 3-0 to Milkins! He's definitely got 2.
