If the pockets are more generous still at Sheffield, then it has to be a buy of centuries, especially with all the world class players these days. And, if we get a few world class qualifiers through, as we undoubtedly will, we could get about 500 of them this year.

The number of balls that shouldn't go in but drop is incredible. Maybe it's always been that way, but surely not to this extent. The only reason the number of centuries hasn't gone through the roof this week is because the table is playing slower for some reason. You'd have to think they'd put the number of Crucible centuries at about 76.5, and even at that figure I wouldn't go low!

By:
how many last year buddy?
|
|
By:
judds awsome..wont win this frame but nice red
|
|
By:
I think there have been 86 for the last 2 years. In some ways having the qualifiers just before The Crucible helps the total as you get more from the match-sharp qualifiers, even if most of them lose.

There was a very drunk man on here this afternoon forecasting that Selby would win in the next 5 years more than Ding and Trump combined,
I mean you have got to be so pisxed to even dream that. Lets hope he is sober for tomorrow. Nite Nite Pecker ![]() ![]() |

Moondan - I've just heard S.Hendry talk about how tight the pockets are. Surely I'm dreaming, or maybe I need to get my eyes checked.

like at most tournaments its a surprise when they don't go in off the jaws
there was a TV tournament earlier this ssn (was either masters or UK) and they were going in off the cushion practically |
|
By:
tino are you watching on +1
|
|
By:
And, he is usually the one person you can rely on to say the pockets are playing easy. I hope listening constantly to the BBC 'experts' telling him "it only went in because of the pace it was played" hasn't taken its toll on him.
