Snooker commentators have to be the worst sport commentators out there whether it is Parrott and his counter clearance {as in another post}or Virgo and his mythical 3 yellows on the trot saying you pot the yellow as a free ball followed by a yellow as a colour followed by a yellow as the start of the colours totally ignoring the fact that there are no reds on the table so you cant just invent a red out of thin air,it has never happened, will never happen and is impossible to happen,he went through this twice in the space of a couple of weeks. But the worst of all has to be Eurosport who have the majority of the coverage who only have one decent commentator and that is Joe Johnson but poor old Joe his eyes are shot now and what we have to put up with is Hallett Hendon and Studd and I have to say I could not tire of kicking these 3 wankets.

And now we are over to ITV4 for the Grand Prix so we can listen to Clive Everton who never uses just a few words when 3 or 4 paragraphs will do,should have retired years ago.

And now for the late match we get Phil Yates who is best described as a pundick.

Still like Clive, although perhaps past his best.

How he got the dunt from the awful BBC is disgusting.

The greatest problem is they all have to toe the party line or they don't work so its a never ending torrent of nonsense saying how tight the pockets are and the standard has gone through the roof.
Anyway it could be far worse and on the bbc with Davis and his Parrot tunneling the unacceptable depths of presentation on what was once a serious game.

Used to play Phil Studd at snooker in the early 90s cos he was on my Uni course - we were both massive Jimmy White fans but he had the good sense to turn off the 92 final when Hendry pulled back to 14-12, whereas I drowned my sorrows to the bitter end with my 'celebratory' bottle of JD. He's a good commentator nowadays
