1.01 there's a couple of Eastern Europeans waiting in the wings with dustpans and brushes to clean up all that ticker tape!

Now he's champion he'll have every hard faced tart in Leicester after him. Which is to say he'll have every woman in leicester after him

In football terms Selby parked the bus. As Ronnie said, he went numb!

That is what Eastern Europeans are for.

no hotels in aberdeen would be staffed and no offices would be cleaned without them.  Laugh

From 10-5 down against Ronnie that was solid matchplay snooker, you win the way that suits your play. Ronnie had a comfortable lead to get through this, the pressure from Selby was a killer.

A superb snooker match, the best player the world has ever seen and Mark Selby, made him look very ordinary today, well played Mark Selby, you deserve to be World Champion.

I don't think parking the bus is a fair analogy in snooker. Ronnie should have won that match by playing nowhere even near his best but he lost it in his head and when the heads goes with Ronnie everything goes. Selby was nowhere near his best but he is a brilliant match player who will adapt to any situation. Ronnie could not or would not adapt to the kind of grinding match the final turned into.

Disapointed Ronnie lost, but I nabbed £55 off my Selby bet, so silver linings and all that.

Will go down as one of the all time greats, very memorable especially from a player that was totally out of form and not been at his best for 7/8 years!!Cool

Ronnie from 7/8 years ago would have been smashing himself in the face with the ice bucket after 10 frames.

Hardly, in some frames neither player could pot a ball to save his life.
A poor final.

Selby made a 127 an 84 and then an unbelievable clearance to win the match in back to back frames, was a cracker I've watched every final since 79 and probably only 10/12 stand out this would be in top 12 easily.Infact I could probably only pick out 6/7 that were good for specific reasons, this final will be remembered for Selby winning from impossible position.

Proof, that the immovable object stops the irresistible force. A classic final, one of the best. It can't be all about people reeling off tons.
