In my top 3 along with the 1970 WC Final and 1982 WC Quarter Final between Brasil ( the greatest or second greatest team not to win the World Cup and Italy. The day football died or rather was assassinated!

An interesting the tonight in Japan v Samoa.
Samoa are firm (ish) favourite @ 1.67 . I'll have a speculative interest bet on Japan winning by 1-12 points, currently 3.7 on here for small beer. |

Thanks bud, cagey enough first half so far but Japan lead 10-3 after 30 minutes.

Japan 17 - 8 Samoa. 1 yellow card each but commentator has suggested a possible upgrade to a red for Japan. I took my stake back after Japan's second try so all good there but it's not a very inspiring contest t.b.h. |

They just announced it's staying as a yellow. It wasn't a harsh collision in the first place, purely accidental I thought.

It was sort of an entertaining match I suppose but fairly forgettable really. N.Z. v Italy @ 20.00 later. N.Z. are - 28.5 on the handicap on here but I'll watch it but leave it from a punting point of view. |

Yes , did put the All Black's up originally as my team to win outright and I won't change my mind yet .Although they have been easy to back I still think they are the team to beat, even if no one else does!! I admit they don't look as impressive as some of the nations, so far, but in all my years of watching they somehow find a way to win .Won't be playing tonight though just enjoy the game with a "few" beers

That's more than fair comment about N.Z. I've got them on my side in the outright as well.
I think we're all so used to them producing the goods when it matters over the last few decades that it's instilled in our brains never to right them off. |
