sport in general is being ruined.last nights game a great example,off topic but its creeping into cricket as well now with these umpires decisions.it can be clipping stumps and given out,so if ump gives original your done,if he doesnt and hitting half ball your ok

Last night the first try by New Zealand which was not given eventually by the TMO was ridiculous. A great piece of skill by Mowanga, Barnes had screamed "no knock on " about 5 times during the action after the line out so the players of both teams responded. Then after all that , the euphoria of scoring, to be called back , basically because the referee in his good intentions to keep the game flowing, to be called back for a slight knock on even though the South African forward had committed an earlier penalty was a joke.The TMO like VAR in football are ruining the game as a running spectacle in my opinion. (Actually the cricket version as Nineteen Points raised is another stupid idea)

surely if that was a football match and the knock on was in fact a pen to all blacks,the reff would have been lauded for the best bit of play on advantage in the history of the sport
all blacks were penalised for boks commirttingf an offence,the game at any level above the local club and everyone has a pint afterwards is a complete joke,
add in the bloke accidentaly on purpose getting in way of pass on way back in 1st half near line

because the TMO who are supposed to help the reff and we,re told FOLEY is the best there is  ,despite probably a dozen replays saw the knock on,probnably only alerted to that by on field reff telling everyone to play on, but didnt see the foul/pen by bocks that led to the knock on
in other words far to interested in been THE STARS of the game,centre of attention,
so in the end a reff looking at it once on big screen was telling FOLEY who,s watched it a dozen times on a dozen screens with half a dozen other people  for over a minute,the rules of the game which FOLEY either didnt no or had forget in his excitement to get a try cancelled and be the centre of attention

exactly ftp.once again its down to opinions.last nights game should of been a spectacle instead it was a farce.

Just interested why you you say that Slippy, is it the TMO or just the way the tournament was run in your view? I have actually really enjoyed some of the games ,Portugal playing well, the excitement of seeing Chile players enjoying a try , lesser countries getting a chance on the world stage.I love rugby the same as you and was almost brought up with a rugby ball in my cot ! It will leave a void in my television schedule not having these games to watch on the weekends. The only thing that really annoys me is the way the TMO have taken over the games and are almost telling the referee what to do, but no mention of when they get it wrong ie with the laughable decision of the so called non forward pass in the England v Argentina game. Yesterday, we had a Red card that could of been a yellow and a yellow card that could of been a red.Huge calls that affect a game but are being decided by idiots!!
