I'm struggling to find a single Lions player better than his opposite number.
I'm not.
On a dry warm summers day AB's are unplayable.Today won't be.
Win or lose Spatland has changed it up(impact players 2nd half warming the bench)
I think Lions plus 12 is insulting.
I think they well might smother and steal this game.

Prediction 2-1 Boring Haka
The key to the match will be the Lions rush defence. We've seen so far on tour some kiwi 10s struggle with it most notably Damien Mackenzie. Who doesn't struggle against it? Will be interesting to see how the ref polices it because rush defence is often off side defence. The line speed of the Lions has been much faster than what we see in Super rugby. The ABs pack will be a much stronger bunch than the hapless Maori pack so that will provide Barrett with a much better platform. To be fair to Mackenzie I don't remember the last time I saw him play 10. The Lions are definitely improving but the ABs will be miles tougher than anything they've faced so far. And Beauden Barrett is fast becoming the greatest ever 10 in the history of the game.
The weather is the key factor for me.
And also I just think the Lions are going in underrated(Crusaders for example)
Meanwhile smashing 78 points against a pretty sh1t team means little to me.
The AB's are the best Rugby team in the World,but is that good enough against the 4 Nations in wet weather ?

The kiwis are used to wet weather football too. I don't think the Lions are underrated at all. The ludicrously short price they've been in every match so far shows that. Just can't see them getting enough threes to counteract the ABs sevens.
Weather updates from locals appreciated...... appears no rain last 3 hours or forecast for game...... but quite strong winds @ 25 km/h (pens 40m out or out wide become harder) .... anyone near/in the ground ??? (before sky come on)
Might not be wise to base punting investments on that result!! Though it was a great day!!

I've not had a great tour so far, but I thought the ABs might be a tad bigger than this.
Everybody getting excited. Handicap was 12.5 now done to 9.5. Not sure how this will go thb. Think the Lions will well if not give them a good game, match them up front. I do expect a tight game.

NZ Rugby is on another Planet. Well done Lions. Went better than I thought. 30-8 probably the right score. Immense game from the ABs. They get injuries and the replacements are just as good.

Play at a different speed to mere mortals. Some on here questioned their scrum. Wishful thinking. When they're not embarrassing the Wallabies and you can watch dispassionately they really are an awesome sight. The handling in the wet,short passes and offloads,all the stuff that our guys knock on all the time they just stick.

When the Lions nearly scored in the opening minutes and they didn't because Connor Murray inexplicably wore his lead boots to the match it felt like I was watching the Wallabies. A try was there for the taking but it wasn't scored. We do that all the time. ABs in that position just score.

leaving the bragging rights aside, that was a really good rugby match. Skill levels high on both sides, and
intensity full on. i thought NZ would win more comfortably than that but it was decided on a couple of errors.
It was kind of weird that NZ won the war of attrition but Lions looked best in open play.

personally I thought the B&I Lions acquitted themselves very well and i was ready for a double measure of schadenfreude.
