Obviously there's a huge danger of a let down from the SA game both mentally and physically but I don't think that result was a fluke, I think Japan are a lot better than they've been made out to be, and the Scots are significantly worse than the Springboks

At 6-1 it seems worth the risk, any thoughts?

Japan played their final in their first game. Expect the Scots to hammer them today.
Report tommo1000 • September 23, 2015 1:17 PM BST
scots to play off set pieces and keep the ball in the pack, japan put a massive effort in to beat the boks,no way they`ll have the same energy today on a short turnaround,i fully expect the scots to to cover the h/cap,this is Scotland however so the stakes will be smallWhoops

Danno - Romania won't be up to much but they are priced accordingly. You could also consider +19 on the 1st half cap.

first half cap may be the way to go. you could do the match cap and look to be cruising only to have france switch off in last 1/4 with a win in the bag.
always a danger with big h'caps anyway but even more so with france involved.

The betting on this match has me flummoxed as it's a fact of life that Scotland always choke on the big occasion.Even if they do manage to win (which i don't think they will) just can't see them beating the 14.5 handicap.

have done scotland pen or drop goal fsp for a cheap thrill, £30 at 5/4
Report TheVis • September 23, 2015 2:28 PM BST
Brighton looked small. Pitches have to be a certain minimum but the footie grounds are usually a good bit smaller than traditional rugby grounds, especially Twickers and Murrayfield as mentioned.
Report arbster • September 23, 2015 2:32 PM BST
Scotland will keep this tight for the first 20 mins (or even first half) chipping away with penalties due to bigger pack / tier 1 team playing tier 3 team etc (no R Gray is a giveaway).............. so the Scots to restore order but points under 51.5 (books)....... should be the call .......... hopefully good trade out options with the u/o 50.5 on here .............. can see a scotland 3 pointer being the first scoring play

The Scots chipping away as expected, 12-0 would have been the perfect h/t scenerio........... Japan are certainly a very cohesive, high energy and skillful team executing unexpected plays with great precision and a great fluidity in the backline............. brings back memories of one of the best values bets in the last world cup: Japan + 12.5 to beat Tonga (put it up as a max bet........it was a loser......... dont know how.......... 31-18 or similiar)...... one of the best value (loosing bets) of all time!! I think Scotland will look to play this one out in a controlled fashion....... thats why I didnt get involved in hcps .......... cant see Scots interested in bonus point 4 tries....... perhaps one eye on denying the Japs a loosing bonus point (but even that not high priority)

Verdict: no score.

Why no TMO?

The problem for Japan is that there are 5 teams in each group which makes it impossible to have fair scheduling.

With 4 or six in a group all teams can play on the same days with the same rest time in between. I think the authorities need to

re-think the set up.
