Ireland could be in for a tougher afternoon than Barnes.

I think it's because of touches like that RW. Beautiful flick inside from the big Italian.

Ire are carrying on just like they were v Fra and Scot.  I did expect much better today.

I don't mind them praising #Parisse when he comes up with offloads like that, but what about Zanni? Unbelievable player who doesn't get half the praise.

Irish decision-making without Sexton has gone down the pan. To be fair Murray had a great game last week, but in general I wouldn't trust him an inch if it's not belting down with rain.

Wasn't it pouring rain when Munster played Racing away in Paris and he had a shocker?

Oh yes. Rethink that one then:

Only if it's pouring with rain AND in Ireland.

Zanni is a fcking beast RW. Favaro and Barbieri more thn decent players too.

And that's Italy's problem. Big line-up against not a huge number of defenders and they never even look like breaking the line.

Are these Rugby players very thick?  It looks to me that most of them are brainless

Jeez, that could have gone the other way. McCarthy certainly wasn't supporting his weight.

Poor decision by Venditti though.

Sad to see for Marshall. Ireland in big trouble with Madigan and Jackson at 10/12
By:

When: 16 Mar 13 16:02
why is Jackson kicking that?  Does he ever have the length?

The game will open up from here for sure anyway. Madigan reminds me of Aaron Cruden. Plays at 100mph and is creative but you always feel he will give the oppo a chance as well.

That was really bloody stupid from one of the most reliable and brightest players of the past decade. Must be the sunshine getting to them.

You cant get through 13 years at the top without doing the odd naughty thing. Doesn't make you a bad boy though, there are plenty of them around.

First I've ever heard of it. The only example I can think of is when he took out Rossouw on the Lions but he only knocked himself out by doing that. I can't think of one yellow for foul play other than the one today and he's never been sent off.

How bloody useless have Ire been bar the first 40 mins of this tournie?

Same question as last time:

is there a wind, are the kickers slicing the ball or is it just a bad camera angle?

Henderson on for Ireland and POM playing on the wing until HT!!

What an utterly lame effort from Italy again. Their physicality is unquestionable, their back-row keeps looking good, but their backline does things like that ffs. Orquera is no more an international 10 than I am.

Good result for Ireland to get in 9-6 down. Was getting very ragged at one point, but they've stopped Italy doing too much damage. Could be impossible for them if another back gets injured though.
