It was probably be the bit where he put his arm up in the air at the angle that suggests a pen and blew his whistle hard that confused everyone.

he did call a pen originally yummy.. straight arm pen

Monstrous Bryan
When: 16 Mar 13 18:11
To be fair he did initially give the pen. Players walking backwards as if he had too

If that was Johnny May and not Mike Brown receiving that, it would have been try time.

That's one notch on the 'Ashton ****-tackle' count, flapping at Phillips for 15 yards

And one notch on the 'Ashton ****-pen' count.

Brian Moore on Chris Ashton: "That's just dumb!" Sums up my thoughts precisely.

Lancaster claims Ashton isn't off form, which means he is just bad and stupid.

Only a matter of time before Tom Youngs got in on the act. How is he even in the squad?

When: 16 Mar 13 18:18
agreed Glossy, harsh on eng
By:
RugbyMan
When: 16 Mar 13 18:18
Erm, a little bit harsh? Or very bloody harsh. Cuthbert goes in and is straight off his feet and there's nobody else there for Wales.

England playing some stupid stuff so far . Kicking every possession away
By:
Rainier Wolfcastle
When: 16 Mar 13 18:18
Because he came over Tom Youngs who was the tackler, who was off his feet and preventing release of the ball. Clear penalty
By:

When: 16 Mar 13 18:19
Agree , Youngs made no effort to roll away
By:

When: 16 Mar 13 18:19
He couldnt have moved away - he only has to be seen to be making an attempt, which he was from what I could see.

England have kicked the ball away all championship .... Only scored one try in last 3 games and that wasn't exactly created
By:
Rainier Wolfcastle
When: 16 Mar 13 18:20
He couldn't move away because it was his own player on top of him. He just flopped there. We shouldn't be surprised it's turning into the Steve Walsh show.
By:

When: 16 Mar 13 18:20
That wasn't an England penalty either

By:
RugbyMan
When: 16 Mar 13 18:22
I didn't think that one was a pen first look, but he's gone past the ball and rested his hands on the floor, which makes it a pen. A lot of decisions with very little leeway though, arguments for both sides on everything.

Goode useless under the high ball yet again. God know how he gets a game.
By:

By:

When: 16 Mar 13 18:23
That's a fair enough synopsis RM, the common denominator is the camera being on Steve Walsh more than the action on the pitch.

Walsh becoming more and more pivotal to the outcome.

By:

When: 16 Mar 13 18:24
