By:
Why didn't they carry on with the pick and drive . The DG was too far out
By:
well played England.
By:
suspended?
By:
suspended way before the game was over then

Rolland could quite easily have pinged England as France were pouring forward. He had a good game today. Deserved win for England.
By:
You know the French papers will be saying we won by default though!
By:
ingerland were rolling & would have given away the penalty, bloody dg malarky when yer dont want it!
![]() still on balance les rousse beoufs deserved it. |
By:
Most entertaining England game for a while. Maybe the best game of this 6 nations. And I certainly think they deserve it as well.
Wales got to win the grand slam now, this French team just not good enough to win games away from home. |
By:
Fook u Trinh-Duc!!!!!!!!
Well done England though. |

Harinordoquy Man of the Match
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() French version of Andy Nicol giving out the award. Brilliant. |
By:
In a way it's a pity that Parra slotted the conversion from the touchline furrelli. Would have fancied them to get over with so much momentum.
By:
should be 3 well matched matches next w/end.
right jus need Matt Kuchar to win from no-where to land one! ![]() |

aye fair point BD, france played safe before thou' with the long penalty instaed of banging it into the corner so got what they deserved in the end by playing so/too conservative at times.
By:
Yep, very good line up of fixtures next weekend. Interesting that England v Ireland is last up, so if Wales blow it they might have to sweat it out for an extra 80 minutes.
England will finish second if they win next week. For all the hoo hah before the tournament, I think they have played extremely well for an inexperienced team. |
By:
Agree that they should have gone for the jugular earlier. They looked very strong going forward when they didn't drop the ball and built more than a couple of phases.
By:
give Lancaster the job NOW!
By:
Wales to beat France next w/e GPT ! lol
By:
Not sure why everyone is on Rolland's back. He had a good game today. He gave a final warning and followed up on it. Nice to see him doing what he says for once.
By:
Rolland done ok, just the Welsh hyperbole in full swing once again big_dunc
By:
plenty of Englishmen better today than the donkey
Cole, Farrell, Morgan both the centres to name 5 |
By:
Jaysus Rougerie's had two shockers in a row now after his performance against England. Didn't realise that was a two on two for Croft's try. Himself and Harry pathetic.
By:
*performance against Ireland.
Tom Croft was the best player on the pitch by a country mile. |
By:
The pundits are very good at ignoring previous warnings, but then so is Rolland generally. Looked very harsh on Sharples, but if the team is on a warning then so be it.
I've seen far worse from Rolland, but he always spends so much time telling everyone about his decisions rather than playing the game. Couple of moments of nonsense from him, but he may well have been the best ref of the weekend. Can not ever remember saying that before. |
By:
If he went out with the attitude to help make it a free flowing game he'd be a great ref.
By:
All 3 pundits watch that France break at the end and say offside, but I can't see it personally. Being ahead of the ruck is no problem if you dont get involved, otherwise it would be a pen at every kick.
The player who makes the tackle gets himself onside and Davies thinks three are offside somehow, even though there are not 3 players involved! Doesn't help refs when pundits make things up to contradict them. |
By:
generally the pundits although ex players dont know the laws
By:
that's true, then you have Brian Moore who professes to know the laws as a ref making out the ref should be wearing blue, I found it funny him trying to defend a hooker popping up, he was wrong and tried to justify it by saying he was going forward, but that's the trick - pop when going forward to force the opposition up and penalty from a ref that doesn't know what's happening
penalty count was 11 - 5 |

By:
France's lack of composure at setting up DG attempts against Scotland and now today is a amajor hindrance to their progress.
After 6 minutes they attempted a DG from 25-30 metres. It was laughable, both in the decision to do it and the attempt itself. A fundamental part of the game, the DG decides many crucial matches including WC Finals! With better set up and execution the post match dissection changes and Mr Lancaster's stock falls considerably. Funny old game.. |

That's blown a right hole in my Cheltennham bank
![]() No doubt England deserved to win. But seriously how brutal were France, the half backs were inept, there was no effort chasing and closing down. Only increased the temp at the very end and too late. England would have cruised it with a capable 10. And from what I saw Harinordoquay was comfortably the best player on the park. Mind you I was in a pub so might have missed the odd nuance. |
By:
I wonder how much more capable a 10 needs to be than steering his team to away victories in the 6 nations at 20 years old.
By:
Harry was left for dead by Tom Croft who was back to his Lions form in the loose and was imperious in the lineout.
