Jankovic v Radwanska

Jankovic could do pretty well here, she has a strong return of serve and likes to attack, she is strong both athletically and mentally. Radwanska however is a tricky opponent who mixes up there game and have the potential to get better and better.
Radwanska leads the H2H 5-1 with Jankovic only win coming on a clay court, today they are on clay. Admittedly this is Rome and the victory came in Paris.

On odds then I have Jankovic at 1.84, Betfair has her here at 2.3, so she could be great value. Radwanska at 2.19, Betfair has her at 1.75. I would like to see how this game opens up before getting involved, but potentially Jankovic could be a good price in a match she most certainly game win.

Well I tipped Ana here on value 3.5 was huge, admittedly I did not take that. I got in the second game for over 2.00 she was flying and eased past Maria, I layed Ana in the second set for another £20 profit but at this point I was playing with profit and was just looking to increase profit…

Dodig v Chardy

Dodig was the value bet here, I advised to wait though and Chardy had a big serve which he could use to his advantage, he did and I got in on Chardy not for very long though, just enough for profit…

Dimitrov v Berdych

As advised to wait see how this one played out and Dimi lost the first couple but he came good giving a great entry point and exit later on in the first set, I did not personally trade this one but grabbed the graph for you….

At the time of writing this blog Dimi has just won the second set. The photo below was taken in the first set when he was 6/5 up, just before the TB!

Ivanovic v Sharapova

On the face of it you'd go with Maria all day long, but Ana is a good player, she id getting back to some of her best tennis and in Stuttgart a few weeks ago she could of won the match had she had the mental strength, Maria was there for the taking.

I get Ana at 1.88 Betfair gives a massive 3.5!! Maria is 1.38 on Betfair where I have her at 2.13. There could easily be a good first set from Ana. 3.5 is huge odds.

Dodig v Chardy

This could be a good game, Dodig leads the H2H 1-0 but that was a while ago now and Chardy did recently turn up against the Fed Express. He has a big serve and I expect Chardy to use that to his advantage today.

I have Dodig priced at 1.43 and Chardy at 3.33 Betfair having them at 1.92 and 2.06. So Dodig offers a good value trade here, I will perhaps let this go in a game or two then decide, hopefully they both hold their own serve.

Dimitrov v Berdych

Berdych won very recently in Madrid, however the clay is slower here, Berdych usually starts well and has the ground strokes to really push Dimi here who has been known the start a little slower, Dimi is a cracking player though that when he gets going can be very consistent.

I have Dimi at 1.45, Betfair prices him at 2.28. Berdych Betfair 1.76 me 3.22. I would really like to go straight in on Dimi but just that last recent H2H makes me just want to see a little bit of the game, although Dimi did take the first set in that last game.

Giraldo v Cilic.

Cilic leads the H2H on these but he is a hard court and these games were both on  a hard court, playing straight into his hands, how will he cope with the slower clay in Rome? Giraldo can be a lose cannon but he loves the clay and can get a quick start and likes to hit the ball flat and hard.

My sums get Giraldo at 1.64 and Cilic at 2.55. Betfair does never agree with me does it? NO

Giraldo at 2.06 and Cilic at 1.96. According to my calculations Giraldo is a good value here!

Robredo v Kohlschreiber

I fully expect Robredo to do the business here, at the moment he is priced at 1.58 I have him at 1.52 so slightly higher than this, not enough value there. I will hope Kohlschreiber wins a few early games and then we can get a higher price on Robredo.
