Husam Zomlot
@hzomlot
This is an unnamed premature baby. His mother, Fatima al-Hirsh, was killed by Israel's bombardment on Gaza along with his entire family. She was still pregnant, and doctors delivered him as she drew her last breath. We will name him Naji, survivor, for now. Israel’s aggression is threatening Naji’s life and the lives of 130 premature babies, who face imminent death if Israel continues to block deliveries of fuel and medicines. Already more than 2000 Palestinian children killed by Israeli air strikes. What justifies this? Nothing!

Sad, sad, sad... but don't forget the beheaded Israeli babies, the raped women and children and the unwarranted murder of 1500 innocent people.

Surely you haven't forgotten already! It was only 2 weeks ago.

Hamas killers won't be getting off scot-free to murder again with impunity, Israel is determined to destroy them this time. You can seethe all you like giggilo, it will make no difference, the die is cast.

It is interesting to note that the Hamas terrorist sympathisers seem to differentiate between the goverment in charge of the country and the citizens of the country in a way that has never been done before in war.

The Palestinians voted to be governed by Hamas. They don't seem to present any opposition to them in Gaza. They don't seem to present any opposition to them in countries outside Gaza.

If Ukraine fired bombs in to Russia, as they have, would we see the same individuals complaining that there is a difference between Putin and his friends and Russian Civilians?

Yes. Speaking for myself, certainly distinguish between Hamas and the population of Gaza. Neither are Russians “evil.”

You don’t differentiate though, Shrewd Dude. Israel is at war with Palestine in your view.

Talking **** as per biscuits. Are you reading fake news again in Al-Quds again and falling over yourself in spreading it again??

I'm wondering why people differentiate between Hamas and Palestinian civilians in a way that doesn't seem to happen in other wars between the elected governments and the civilians. Maybe you are able to elaborate on that?

Isreal is at war with people who are at war with them in my view.

I note that you won't answer any questions you have been asked of you as usual Biscuits.

You presumed to say my view is "Isreal is at war with Palestine".

I corrected you to say Isreal is at War with those that at war with them i.e Hamas and anyone that supports them or elected them.
By:
unitedbiscuits
When: 25 Oct 23 08:28
Well I could; but I'm not sure that I will. It's not rewarding to argue with someone who doesn't know their own mind. "Isreal is at War with those that (are) at war with them." means nothing, it's like "We hate hatred."

Shrewd Dude, I think what you want to say - but are not quite man enough to say - is that Israel is at war with the Palestinian people.
Let's see if the United Nations General Secretary can help sort out your position. Yesterday he said “the grievances of the Palestinian people cannot justify the appalling attacks by Hamas. And those appalling attacks cannot justify the collective punishment of the Palestinian people,”
Do you agree with him?

Not surprising you don't want to commit to a position after making yourself look a right mug previously jumping to your conclusions at the start of this thread and getting taken in by false info from Al-Quds and spreading it.

I distinguish between Hamas and the Palestinian population, as does the United Nations, the USA, the UK..even the state of Israel pays lip-service to the principle though we know them by their actions.

There should be no struggle distinguishing between the Irish people and the IRA. The war-aim in Iraq and Afghanistan was regime change, not persecution and ethnic cleansing. But clearly Shrewd Dude is troubled with the principle, evidenced by his one-minute-to-midnight post last night.

Therefore the question is not around my committed position but Shrewd Dude's equivocation. He was invited to clarify, he's had all day, the only thing he has informed us of is that I live rent free inside his head.

The IRA weren't the elected government at the time. Israel has clearly stated they want to obliterate Hamas. If Hamas weren't in power and a new regime was in place then I would be hopeful there would be a peaceful solution. I doubt we will ver know though.

By the way using phrases like "I live rent free inside his head" makes you sound like a 14 year old girl posting on Instagram.

I think Shrewd Dude cannot say he believes Israel are waging war on the Palestinian population because he knows it is indefensible in argument, but emotionally he wants to say it. But he cannot quite do it.

its a bad comparison I think because the vast majority of irish did not support the tactics of the IRA but if we are being realistic we have to admit that a very significant % if not a large majority of Palestinians have been raised on hamas like ideology from birth and agree with them mostly.

I would question that, razz. My recollection was that every British petition for the extradition of an IRA terrorist was found to have an invalidating error of punctuation. The reality for any administration in Dublin was that giving over "one of their own" was political suicide so, to my recollection, it never happened.

But what good has it done the Palestinians administering the West Bank to co-operate with the Israeli state? They're supposedly working together towards a two-state solution. The Israelis treat them like s**t.

Yes,

1) the supposed "conversation" is likely to be have been a "mash up."

2) No Hamas rocket has yet been launched to deliver the payload on the hospital car park.

3) Israeli forces admit targeting the "garage" of the hospital.

4) Israeli forces warned that hospital three times to clear out and shooting into the building. Therefore a legit target.

5) Israeli jets were active in the vicinity when it happened.

6) The first response from the Israelis was that it was a strike on a legit target (soon deleted).

7) USA tells Israel that this doesn't look good, Make up a narrative that will last Biden's visit.

8) A blushing Biden says "It looks like the other team did it."

9) Nobody in the Arab world believes it.

10) UK doubles down on the narrative.

idk that's just politics you seem to be referring to, not indicative of ppl's beliefs. regardless the point still stands, unfortunately it's highly likely that the vast majority of Palestinians are radicalized from birth to be antisemitic, xenophobic, hateful against non islamic beliefs. I think it's also true vice versa for israeli's (minus the anti west stuff mostly) but probably not to the same extent imo.

Peckerdune told you how it was for the Irish at 16:08, razz.

Ill leave the forum open to any who want to revise.

The only way to justify the slaughter of Palestinians is to paint them guilty. Guilty of what? At what point does the boot of the oppressor on your windpipe become intolerable?

yeah kind of proves my point though, he says "we didn't all support the bombings" and I'm assuming most irish didn't but I think one of the big differences here is that most of Palestinians unfortunately support the terrorist activities of hamas in the name of allah. I'm not trying to paint anyone as guilty I'm not nearly informed enough but I think most ppl talking about it from either side don't understand or aren't willing to accept the abhorrent beliefs that are commonplace in palestine. also israel.

Razz trying to simplify Northern Ireland in short,
Catholics were discriminated there re employment, housing, voting and took to the streets in the form of civil marches,ie peaceful protects. Derry ( Good Friday) and Ballymurphy atrocities were committed which resulted in many joining the IRA which at that stage was almost defunct. It was a rotten supremist statelet at that time, two tier citizens.

The Palestinians have nothing, that isn't chance.

not trying to simplify im pretty naive on the subject, i just dont think most irish ppl believed the extremist methods of the IRA, maybe im wrong though, that's pretty tragic if they did.. I just thought the comparison is different in many ways

100%, it feels a bit different here though as there seemed to be (from my perspective) quite a lot of ideologues who were pretty confused and some still are over who to support at least initially, it seemed a marked difference to every other big event post 2016 where ppl take their side straight away and never deviate, was strange to see.

One startling similarity is the vast amount of arrests in West Bank, it was 'internment' in NI.

50 years is a big difference indeed however i think talking about extremism it can be addressed but often only fed by atrocities.
