Two wrongs don't make a right. If Israeli is "my side", they should be held to a higher account. Furthermore, Israel is signatory to the UN rules of war. I'm not going to give them a pass for what they're doing in Gaza but, clearly, there are those so excited with "playing war" in their front rooms that they have lost all sense of proportion.

By:
Destroying Hamas is not a wrong - and it is every good
persons duty to , if possible help , or at least not deter the Israelis from doing that |
|
By:
But what sort of war are they enjoying when only one side has an army?
|
|
By:
If you are in the dangerous and difficult process
of destroying evil .. such as the Nazi regime in Germany and the Hamas regime in Gaza .. it would be best if those evil regimes had no army .. and no one supporting them |
|
By:
Are you genuinely now trying to play Mr impartial after your earlier posts on this thread Biscuits?
Good grief. |
|
By:
To repeat, I'm partial to the underdog, but many lean the other way, Shrewd Dude.
|
|
By:
It seems for some reason ub would prefer
the situation to be more dangerous for the Israeli army As they undertake this mission to destroy individuals and regime responsible for the diabolical atrocities committed - |
|
By:
Partial to them or blind to them?
I would say showing blind faith in the words of terrorists, using analogies comparing Hamas terrorists to victims of domestic violence and scurrying off to spread false articles people have posted from Al-Quds goes beyond being partial. |
|
By:
I like the underdog and tend to take their side , that’s Israel surrounded by enemies
|
|
By:
That is the Jewish people and Israel .. surrounded by
many millions wishing its destruction I like to side with the underdog |
|
By:
I'm not blind to them. I don't "support" Hamas. I feel more responsibility for the side that has its flag imprinted on 10 Downing St., just as I would feel more responsible for bullying going on at my kids' school if my kids were doing it. The domestic violence analogy was not with Hamas but the hospital bombing victims. If I see a woman with a black eye, I'm going to need some convincing that she "did it to herself."
I would echo most of the points raised in the Saudi perspective speech and refer you to those. The United Nations has described Gaza (sic) an ethnic humanitarian catastrophe. |
|
By:
Saudi , the rulers and its people would do better to look at their own rancid country and take Israel as an example
of a free and democratic country .. oh and advise the rest of the Muslim counties likewise |

Forgive the intrusion,lfc1971, but it appears that you have forgone the use of your legs since becoming absorbed in this conflict. Go out, take a walk, have a game of golf, don't drink too much, try to reconnect with your less jaundiced best self. I have things to attend to.

Saudi Arabia declares atheists terrorists under new laws targeting

The domestic violence analogy was not with Hamas but the hospital bombing victims
Then it makes even less sense and sounds more reprehensible. Nobody has said the people in the hospital "did it to themselves". They have said it was either Hamas or another terrorist group who did it from outside the hospital with a failed rocket. On the one hand you try to differentiate between Hamas and Palestine but then in the context of the hospital attack try to conflate the two by saying that anyone who blames Hamas or another terrorist group is blaming the victims of the explosion. |

By:
Normally finishing the round of golf and into the
clubhouse on a Friday about now ![]() Anyway will look in later see if ub is making any more sense |
|
By:
At least UB has the good grace to quietly slide away from his initial condemnation on the hospital tragedy. Had it been a faulty Israeli missile they'd still have provoked outrage, faulty Palestinian rocket, nowt said.

and may have been antisemitic
He wasn't that antisemitic. It's been claimed, by them that know, that Lennon and the Beatles manager, Brian Epstein, had a dalliance. |
|
By:
I presume the media just plucked the 500 dead figure out of thin air and made it up.
The pic of the hospital shows a hole in the ground smaller than some potholes over here, a few burnt out cars and broken windows. Absolute no chance 500 died in a blast like that. |
|
By:
I presume the media just plucked the 500 dead figure out of thin air and made it up.
They didn't. They took what the Gaza Health Ministry had said, ran by Hamas, at face value. |

By:
lol i wouldnt them c**ts either

On the one hand you try to differentiate between Hamas and Palestine but then in the context of the hospital attack try to conflate the two by saying that anyone who blames Hamas or another terrorist group is blaming the victims of the explosion. You wilfully misrepresent the analogy, its point being: if you see a serial victim of domestic violence, your first instinct is not to jump to the side of the wifebeater when he says she walked into a door, again. Does Israel have recent form for "plausible deniability"? Think back to Sunday. A convoy including ambulances was attacked, killing 70. Israel said "it wasn't us," as usual. Jonathan Conricus, a spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces, denied the allegations, telling the Financial Times the IDF didn’t “strike any location”. “Hamas is behind this, is using the death of Palestinian civilians for its vile political purposes.” Read to the bottom of the article https://www.ft.com/content/95c5fcf1-c756-415f-85b8-1e4bbff24736 If you lie like it's a reflex, eventually people doubt you. As with the hospital bombing, we cannot be definitive until an independent investigation is concluded but, if the hospital bombing was an misfiring Hamas or splinter-group rocket, Israel are still culpable in this atrocity because of the following considerations 1) Israel had already struck that very hospital with two missiles. 2) Israel had warned the people it had displaced to evacuate the hospital, pending a further Israeli strike. 3) People started coming back to the hospital grounds because of the savage bombardment taking place outside on Sunday; tragically, they thought they would be safer there. 4) The continued deprivation of supplies, including medical, means many died who might have been saved. |

Israel will not deny anything .. terrible things might happen
pray god not .. I recall Golda Meir saying something very profound : When peace comes we will perhaps in time be able to forgive the Arabs for killing our sons, but it will be harder to forgive them for having forced us to kill their sons |

Yes we will make mistakes ..however anyone not from the Judeo Christian part of the world . .. especially English I might say before we became corrupted Other countries ? They are liars .. FACT , don’t allow yourself to believe anything else |

By:
You wilfully misrepresent the analogy, its point being: if you see a serial victim of domestic violence, your first instinct is not to jump to the side of the wifebeater when he says she walked into a door, again. You also don't jump to the defence and ignore the existence of another violent party in the relationship. Applying that analogy involving two parties to the current war situation involving Israel, Hamas and Palestinians is nonsense. Even, at best, taking what you say is true in any analogy Israel would be the violent, lying occasional on off ex partner. Hamas would be the violent, abusive, compuslively lying current partner who stays with the victim, controls every thing they do, doesn't let them leave them, spends all their money on booze and drugs whilst their partner lives in squalor, puts them in danger without a thought for their safety, never takes responsibility for their own violence and then says "you'll never leave me or I'll strangle your pet cat" . One would think a normal human being in those circumstances would wait for evidence before deciding who was to blame for any new incident. You of course would jump to believe the latter. In the analogy you're probably the person who always believes one persons side because he drinks in your local. |
|
By:
There is no doubt that Hamas lie but the Israeli war machine are habitual liars. As stated in the FT article, it became standard long ago. So, like Pinocchio, Israel probably had probably reached a point - augmented by subsequently deleted Israeli influencer tweets - where people were initially sceptical of their denial, particularly as they had used it on Sunday. So no blame at all attaches to the BBC nor anyone else who assumed it was business as usual. At this point, of course, we cannot know but even if Israel was not directly responsible for the tragedy, the circumstances whereby a thousand innocent homeless Palestinians (human animals according to the Israeli Defence Minister) were sardined into that hospital car park entirely of Israel's making.

The Palestinian red crescent society recently received a threat from the occupation authorities to bomb al quads hospital and demand the immediate evacuation. of the hospital, which houses more than 400 patients and about 12000 displaced civilians who have taken refuge in the hospital as a safe place, in addition to the medical staff. we call on the world to take immediate and urgent action to prevent a new massacre like the one that occurred at the al-ahly Baptist hospital..
They're threatening to do it again Wtf,nazis.. |
